1 Dear Athlete, Re: Rocky Mountain Raiders Bantam AAA Please accept this invitation to compete in the conditioning camp and training camp for the Rocky Mountain Raiders Bantam AAA hockey team (formerly the Okotoks Bantam AAA Oilers). You are eligible to participate as your Local Minor Hockey Association (LMHA) falls within the draw zone of the Okotoks Oilers Athletic Association (OOAA) and your birth year is 1999 or The conditioning camp is scheduled to begin August 23 rd and training camp will commence on August 30 th. A couple of forms that require your attention are the Hockey Alberta forms for Permission to Attend and Notification of Tryout. These forms need to be completed and signed by a parent and the president of your LMHA and provided to the undersigned prior to taking part in the ice sessions (If you are currently registered with the Okotoks LMHA, such forms are not required). You may register online at Registration opens on June 24 th. Payment of the stated fee on the registration site is required before any participant can step on the ice. The Raiders compete in the South Division of the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League The AMBHL is regarded as one of the top Bantam leagues in Western Canada and serves as a showcase for Western Hockey League and Alberta Jr. Hockey League prospects. The Raiders home ice will be at the new Scott Seaman arena at Heritage Heights (3km East of the Okotoks overpass)

2 The Okotoks Oilers Athletic Association is pleased to announce that this year s team will be led by Coach Mickey Kluner: Growing up in Calgary, Mickey Kluner played his minor hockey with Southfour and the Calgary Royals. Mickey attended the National Sports School Hockey Program and worked as an instructor for 5 summers with Calgary Hockey Development. Since those days, he has been extremely involved on the coaching side of the game, coaching winter programs and working with skill development programs. Mickey coached 7 years with the Calgary Royals. His first three seasons were with Junior B, with the third season being his first head coaching role. That season his team won the city championship. The following year, he moved to the Bantam age to coach Bantam AA where his team won the provincial championship in Alberta. The following three seasons he transitioned to Bantam AAA as Head Coach, where he won 2 consecutive AMBHL Coach of the Year awards, still with the Calgary Royals. For the season, Mickey is very excited to be the Head Coach of the Bantam AAA Rockyview Raiders. In addition to Mickey s winter coaching, he has been very involved with spring programs. He has coached and evaluated at the Alberta Cup, has taken teams to the World Selects Invitational in Europe, Chowder Cup in Boston and many other tournaments throughout North America. Mickey has more recently become actively involved with skill development programs, running early morning skill sessions, spring programs, August conditioning camps and other small specialty camps with Pinnacle Hockey Development in Calgary. He considers himself very fortunate to have worked with the players and families he has and looks forward to continuing these valued relationships. His biggest joy is seeing the progress of players developing and refining their skills and later moving onto higher and more established levels of hockey. Mickey currently works with Royal Bank in the mortgage world and lives with his fiancée, Stephanie.

3 Assisting Mickey will be Paden Grant : Paden has spent the last 3 years with the Wheatland Athletic Association Bantam AA team. He has spent the last 2 years as Head Coach leading them to back-to-back North Division Championships and Provincial Championship appearances. During this time Paden has helped graduate several players onto the Rockyview Raiders and UFA Bisons. Paden is a product of the Foothills AAA association, playing Bantam AAA with the Airdrie Xtreme and Midget AAA with the UFA Bisons before moving on to play Jr. A in the BCHL for the Cowichan Valley Capitals.
