2 The 2015 Pee Wee Bell Warriors began the season with a roster full of talented players and an expectation that this would be the team to finally make history. Expectations and potential can either motivate a young team or become a burden that causes self-destruction. Our greatest fear was that we would lose focus on the principles of hard work and selflessness given our talented roster. Beginning in the spring however we saw that these young boys were prepared to work. And work they did. The season could not have come early enough for everyone. When week one rolled around we didn t know what to expect but we knew we had worked hard preparing and that no matter what happened we would stick together. We started strong and dominated every opponent we came upon but the team stayed focused on what was the real goal. A Cup Champions for the first time in Pee Wee history. Thanks to a clutch catch by Nick Walters we would advance to the finals yet again. Already stricken by injuries the game proved to be too great a task. Losing a few key players early on proved to be too much for even this fearsome team to overcome. Falling by six points (or perhaps if we had a few more minutes) our blueberry coloured rivals to the east came out on top. So the story for the season should be failure but it could not be farther from the truth. We set out to work hard. We did. We knew we had to become a family to be successful. We did. We knew it would take everyone to win. It did. We knew we had to give everything we had for each other. We did. Six points on a scoreboard will not define who we were. 1) Family 2) Work 3) Commitment 4) Trust 5) Sacrifice and 6) Character These are the six points that define the 2015 Pee Wee Warriors. The Club has been in existence since 1955, with a team in the Pee Wee division. As the league has expanded, so to have the Warriors, and now has close to 138 players competing annually at the Tyke, Mosquito, Pee Wee and Bantam levels. Our territory includes Bells Corners, Crystal Beach, Bayshore, Britannia, Stittsville, Richmond and Munster. Our organization stresses skills development, sportsmanship, and the value of teamwork. Over fifty volunteers help us to attain these goals through their efforts as club executives, coaches, conveners, event organizers and as bingo workers.
