3 Building and maintaining a strong college requires that the learning environment be continuous - 24 hours a day,7 days a week. While we strongly support our academic programs, we know that educated people broaden their knowledge base and their lives through extra curricular and co- curricular activities. At Endicott, we are very pleased with our athletic program and our athletes. For those students who participate in athletics, they learn the importance of team work, of sacrificing for others and of following directions. They learn that hard work and commitment pay off these are important characteristics not just for athletes, but for all students. The entire Endicott community vigorously support athletics and athletes for they also gain a great deal of pride and accomplishment from their experiences. I am proud to say that there is a great deal of campus support for all athletes who are expected to be scholars as well as athletes. This develops tremendous character, spirit and energy. Dr. Richard Wylie President of the College This year marks our eleventh anniversary in NCAA, Division III. In that short time, our student athletes have created great traditions and memories that prepare us for a bright future. Our players take great pride in being students and community members first and athletes second. Yet those priorities do not diminish our competitive drive, as we have captured 15 league championships and made 16 post-season appearances in our 11-year history. We are very proud of our facilities. Along with The Post Center, the Tupper Oval the North Field and our new Multi-Purpose Stadium, (which features seating for 2,200, lights, and a state-of-the-art FieldTurf artificial surface), provides us with arguably the best facilities in Division III. Two new developments this fall have greatly enhanced the athletic experience here at Endicott. We have launched a brand new web-site that puts us in a class with other major colleges and universities throughout the country. We have started the Gull Club as a way to support the activities of all our student athletes. It is first-class organization that provides member benefits in addition to athletic support. The drive to succeed is fueled in part by the terrific support of our programs by all our fans. The players and coaches greatly appreciate it. I invite you to get to know our coaches and our department. Please call anytime with questions or comments. Larry Hiser Director of Athletics

4 With key players back, and the addition of another outstanding recruiting class, 2004 holds great promise for the Gulls. Endicott returns six of their eight CCC All- Stars from a year ago. Returning senior All New-England and CCC All-Star Paul Lord leads a strong nucleus of players into the season.!"#!$ CCC All-Star Josh Maciorowski and Mike Clifford will lead the Gull defense. The return of sophomore sensation Ryan Fraine and starter Scott Bartush, who were both lost to injuries for all of last season, will strengthen an already stingy unit. Looking to contribute defensively will be sophomores Brian Tompkins and Brian Kelly along with freshman Patrick Gaffney, a high school All-American. Also look for Junior Pat Phelan, newcomers Rick Hancock, Greg Russo, and Brian Thierfeld to break into the lineup early in the season. Short stick fenders Jesse Blackwell and Greg Colcord bring back their tenacity and experience to this unit. Sophomore Nate Tower, who had a strong year facing off for the Gulls last season as a freshman, will be challenged by another strong face-off player this year, sophomore Brendan Delaney. Captains Paul Lord and Cory Fox, along with CCC Rookie of the Year Kevin Lally form one of the most dangerous midfield lines in Division III. Fox, who returned part way through last season after recovering from a knee injury that occurred in the fall, is back at full speed and is ready to take faceoffs again. %!&'$ One player who is expected to have a break out year is junior Marc MacMillan who will return to the midfield after playing the majority of the 203 season at the attack. Sophomore Elliot Diesenhaus, Senior Charlie Cole and newcomers Jeff Clattenburg, Ryan Tobin, Alex Howe and Parker Sowles add a tremendous amount of depth and talent to the midfield. A good mix of veterans and newcomers will make up the Gulls attack unit for the 2004 season. Leading the way for Endicott is returning CCC All- Star Sam Chidester.

5 A big, strong attackman, Chidester is one of the best shooters in Division III. Possibly, the biggest impact will come from the return of Burt Fahy who suffered a season ending knee injury a week before the 203 opener. Freshmen Dan Ryan and Josh Gilbert showed tremendous ability to distribute and finish in fall practices and they look to carry that into the regular season. Freshmen Andrew McGarty and James Eppinger will also add depth to this unit. '()"* In goal, CCC All-Star Ryan Walsh had a brilliant sophomore campaign last year posting a.643 save percentage. Walsh, who also plays football for Endicott, suffered season-ending injury and will not be ready for Fortunately for the Gulls, Graduate student Matt Bagshaw, a Division III All-American, also returns from his own season ending injury and looks step in, along with sophomores Jeff Pardue and Adam Partaledis, to man the goal for the Gulls. With all of Endicott s goalies seeing action last year, the battle for the top spot between the pipes should be a good one with the starter playing at the top of his game.
