Also congratula ons to Harry & Sharon Wolfe who were recognized at the Salute To Excellence Banquet. Thanks to 4 H volunteers who a ended: Harry & Sharon Wolfe, Emilie Griffith, Debralee Norris and Huntor Watson. The Crosby County Clover is published by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service-Crosby County Caitlin Jackson CEA-Ag/NR Crosby County District Photography Results Congratula ons to Cielo Farley, Morgan Griffith and Emily Hudnall for compe ng in the District Photography Contest. Their photos were submi ed online in April and judged in May. Morgan had 1st in Travel & Place, 3rd in Elements of Design; Emily had 1st in Catch All, 1st in Enhanced, 2nd in Theme Backyard, 3rd in Plant & Flora, Cielo entered a photo in Details & Macro. Congratula ons!!!! 4 H Ambassadors Congratula ons to Caleb Cavazos, Ty Cornelius, Cielo Farley, Garrison Raley, Ka e Tucker, Leslie Torres, Mesa Ware, and Nikki Wolfe for being selected Crosby County 4 H Ambassadors. State Photography Results Congratula ons to Cielo Farley for her entry at the State 4 H Photography Contest. She submi ed her entry online in April and results were posted at State 4 H Roundup in June. She received a Par cipant Ribbon for her entry. Congratula ons!!! Booster Club Mee ng The Crosby County 4 H Booster Club will meet on Friday, July 27 at 6:00 pm at the Crosby County Extension Office. Agenda for the mee ng will be: Upda ng current by laws and 4 H Annual Achievement Banquet plans. Everyone s input is needed so please try and be at the mee ng. The Wolfe s are bring a taco tray, and the Farley s are bringing chips & salsa. Eeveryone else needs to bring a drink. PLEASE BE PRESENT YOUR INPUT IS NEEDED!!

District Junior Leader Lab District Junior Leader Lab at South Plains College in Levelland was May Morgan Griffith and Rebekah Rymel a ended this year. Ty Cornelius, Cielo Farley and Cassidy Lane served as camp counselors also. Caitlin Jackson a ended as a chaperone. This is a great summer camp!! District Sr Leader Lab (Power Camp) About 85 youth from the Panhandle and South Plains districts a ended the annual Xcel Energy/4 H Sr Leader Lab Camp June 29 July 1 at the Plains Bap st Encampment near Floydada. Ty Cornelius, Cielo Farley, Garrison Raley and Nikki Wolfe a ended and Melode Watson was a chaperone. The goal of this camp is for the youth to learn about leadership, electricity and team building. Senior 4 Hers should plan to a end next year!! Rabbit Project If you are interested in rabbits, contact Angela Arthur. South Plains Fair Rabbit Show will be 9/ Anyone needing help with entries please contact Angela ( ). Crosby County 4 H Fireworks Stand Thanks to everyone who worked the Crosby County 4 H Fireworks Stand! Funds will be used for upcoming Crosby County 4 H ac vi es. We would like to thank the Robb Family for the use of their RV. Once again a big THANK YOU to everyone for making this fundraiser a big success. He was elected the District 2 4 H Council Secretary/Treasurer! Crosby County 4 H Enrollment The H year starts September 1. Everyone will have to re enroll online at texas.4honline.com. Please be sure to update your and phone numbers. The registra on fee is $20 and is due when you enroll. Please contact the office if you have any ques ons or need help with 4 H Connect.

3 Fair Dates West Texas Fair, Abilene Sept South Plains Fair, Lubbock Sept State Fair, Dallas Sept. 28 Oct. 21 Entry Deadline: August 10th! If you would like to enter any of the fairs or need more informa on, please contact the Extension Office. Lamb/Goat Projects If you are interested in acquiring lambs or goats for next year s shows please contact Caitlin or the Crosby County Extension Office by August 20. All Tags must be pre ordered and paid for before the order will be mailed for this next year. Valida on will be completed by the end of October. Bob Benson Memorial/4 H EXCELL Golf Tournament The tournament is scheduled for August 13 at the Plainview Country Club. Funds raised will go to: The Bob Benson Memorial 4 H Scholarship Fi y percent of the proceeds are used to fund the scholarship. The 4 H EXCELL Scholarship The remaining fi y percent is used to fund travel for South Plains 4 H members who have qualified for Na onal 4 H ac vi es. EXCELL is an acronym for EXperience, Ci zenship, and Examples for Life me Leadership. Please call the extension office for more informa on. Ralls Rodeo Cleanup Club community service, Saturday August 9:30am and Sunday August 9:30am. Bring grabbers and 5 gallon buckets. ALL AGES & MEMBERS NEEDED Crosby County 4 H Golf Scramble The Golf Scramble will be August 25 at the Lorenzo Country Club! Registra on at 8am. If you know a golfer, please pass the info to them! This is a great fundraiser for the club! If you have any contacts with businesses please ask them to donate a door prize or sponsor a hole. Contact the office for more informa on. 4 H Food & Nutri on Be watching the Crosby County 4 H Facebook page for announcements about upcoming Food and Nutri on ac vi es. Parents, do you like to cook or are you interested in nutri on? We are in NEED of Food Challenge coaches. Melode will provide the training and all the materials and supplies. If you are interested, please contact Sue or Melode. Ralls Rodeo Parade & Concession The Ralls Lions Club Rodeo is August The parade will be Friday, August 17. If you would like to head up the Crosby County 4 H float, please contact the Extension Office and let Sue know ASAP! The Crosby 4H Booster Club will have the concession stand at the rodeo. Please sign up to help in the concession stand. Watch for more informa on on a work schedule.

The compe on was held June Mikayla was on the Texas team that placed 2nd overall. Mikayla competed in Small Bore Pistol compe on. She was a member of the four man team.
