The buyer must look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations made hereunder. -1- We weaned the bulls on September 21 st with ground hay, 2 lbs. of cracked corn and distillers grain. The bulls were transitioned over to a mixed ration of earlage, distillers grain, QLF, silage and ground hay where we targeted a 3lb/day gain. The bulls were slowly stepped up to a 46 mg cal. ration which consisted of 12 lbs. earlage, 2 1/2 lbs. distillers grain, 3/4 lb. QLF and 16 lbs. ground hay and silage. We like to keep the bulls on a high roughage diet and grow them out to ensure sound feet, legs and longevity of the bulls. 2 Welcome to the annual Millar Angus production sale proved to be an exciting year with ample moisture, grass and plenty of hay. It wasn t hard for us to keep busy throughout the year as we chased after Ryle, our energetic 3 1/2 year old BIG boy that is always ready to go check cows or feed bulls with dad. The tractor cab got a little smaller in July as we added a new little gal to the operation, little miss Kobi Jane. Now let s talk Angus cattle! As you take the time to evaluate this years offering of bulls you will find this to be one of the best sets we have offered for sale. These bulls will add length, thickness, carcass qualities and maternal strengths to your herd. The goal for our program is to produce cattle that will help the commercial cattle industry be as economical and profitable as possible. Keeping these thoughts in mind, we have stuck to a strict culling policy and put a lot of hard work, time and money into our breeding program. If you re looking for an older bull to cover more country one of our virgin two-year olds should fit the bill. They are younger calves from our 2008 calf crop that were held back to grow out and develop. These bulls were raised with the rancher in mind: natural growth bred in, not fed on! Once again I have strived to bring to you what I feel is the top of my program s genetics. McPherson Angus has only been around a short time but the ranch has been involved in cattle production since I have been producing purebred Angus starting in the year 2000 for the commercial herd. This program worked so successfully that I decided to take it to the next level and started a registered Angus herd using the same criteria that worked for me and I feel that will work for you. The bulls that I use in my program are expected to have large scrotals, be deep thick bodied, positive carcass traits, have eye appeal and sound structure. I traveled many miles looking for just the right type of registered Angus females that would produce, be easy fleshing, nice udders and be moderate framed cattle. These females have good dispositions with strong maternal traits. The cows are run under range conditions. I do not feed them cake or grain but they do get a protein mineral supplement free choice. They are also expected to calve within a 45 day period. No opens are kept. The bulls weaning weights are achieved solely through milk and grass. They were never creep fed. These outstanding set of bulls exhibit the traits that I am breeding for in my program. I am confident these bulls will work for you under any range conditions.
