1 REQUEST FOR QUOTE: RODEOHOUSTON Super Series Champion Saddles Quote: # Issued: September 11, 2015 Deadline for Quotes: Tuesday, October 6, 2015 ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (the Show ) was organized for charitable, educational and scientific purposes to encourage and promote the breeding, raising and marketing of better livestock and farm products at public fairs and to promote and maintain research and educational functions within the livestock industry. As the world s largest livestock show and rodeo, the largest fair in North America and the site of 20 concerts from top-flight entertainers each year, the Show attracted over 2.48 million spectators in A Section 501(c)(3) charity, this organization has committed approximately $375 million in youth and educational support to Texas students since it began in The Show is backed by more than 32,000 volunteers serving on over 100 different committees. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR REQUEST FOR QUOTE PRICING Pricing for all goods/services must be very specific, all-inclusive and firm. All administrative fees, shipping, expedited delivery costs, labor, etc. must be included in the quote. All transportation, freight, drayage and other charges are to be listed as a separate line item. Based on your line item bid price for shipping on the Price Sheet, the Show may require that product shipments are to be done via Federal Express or UPS, using the Show s existing account. Moreover, all design work, product set-up, production, repair work, etc. must be done according to the Show s schedule, which may include weekends, nights and early mornings, at no additional cost to the Show. The Show will pay only for goods/services stated on the Price Sheet unless otherwise agreed to in writing by both parties before the order is placed or work is started. No price changes, additions, or subsequent qualifications will be honored. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY The vendor acknowledges that the names, logos, copyrighted material and trademarks of the Show are the sole and exclusive property of the Show (the Show Marks ) and nothing herein shall provide the vendor any right, title or interest in the Show Marks. All Show Marks included in this Request For Quote ( RFQ) are for bidding purposes ONLY. They may not be used for any other purpose, now or in the future, without the express written consent of the Show s Marketing and Public Relations Department. VENDOR ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION The vendor may not promote itself in conjunction with the Show, use the Show as a client reference or display Show goods in any advertising, marketing or promotional materials. Exceptions may apply to current licensed vendors.

SCOPE RODEOHOUSTON is asking for proposals from parties for our Super Shootout Champion Saddles for the 2016 Show. RENEWAL If agreed to by both parties, the original agreement, as amended from time to time, at the same terms, conditions, and pricing can be renewed for an additional two years. Each renewal would be a one (1) year increment. GENGERAL DESCRIPTION Provide all labor, materials, supplies and all associated expenses necessary to produce and deliver the item(s) described in the Request for Quote (RFQ) and as directed by Show staff. QUANTITY a. Eight (8) saddles total b. Order will include one (1) of each of the following: 1. Champion Tie-Down Roping 2. Champion Bareback Riding 3. Champion Team Roping Header 4. Champion Team Roping Heeler 5. Champion Saddle Bronc Riding 6. Champion Steer Wrestling 7. Champion Barrel Racing 8. Champion Bull Riding SPECIFICATIONS a. Logos The RodeoHouston logo must be incorporated into the tooling design The RodeoHouston Super Series logo must be incorporated into the overall design The Show logo must be incorporated in the overall design b. Additional features to be included i. Unique conchos ii. Silver embellishments iii. Distinctive tooling iv. Creative seat inclusion v. Custom corner plates with sponsor detail c. The corner plate will contain either the sponsor name or logo. Sponsor information will not be provided until December. d. Specification Level Saddles proposed and produced should be competition-level quality; so that they may be used. e. Logo slicks will be provided. f. Your company logo may appear inconspicuously, but must first be approved by the Show. g. No other logo may appear on any part of the saddle. h. Prototype/Sample Samples are encouraged and may be shown by appointment. Detailed prototypes are acceptable. All samples/prototypes will be returned. CREATIVITY a. These saddles will require a unique and creative design. The design and quality of the product are the most important factors. b. You may submit up to four different designs in your quote. TIMELINE a. Proposals and artwork designs are due by 10/06/2015 b. Vendor selected by 10/20/2015 c. Order received at Show Offices (2 nd floor, NRG Center) no later than 2/21/2016 A proof and/or sketch of each type of saddle & verbiage must be approved by Show before saddles are produced.
