1 2018 K-DAYS RODEO CONTESTANT INFORMATION Welcome to the 2 nd annual K-Days Rodeo. This package contains important information for you as a contestant including, event times, parking, accreditation and waiver forms. The following represents approximate start times of each event: Event Bareback Steer Wrestling Saddle Bronc Tie Down Roping Team Roping Ladies Barrel Bull Riding Event Time (approximate) 6:30pm 6:45pm 7:00pm 7:20pm 7:45pm 7:55pm 8:05pm Warm-Up Area The Warm-Up Ring will be located in Hall A of the Edmonton EXPO Centre. To access the Edmonton EXPO Centre with your horse, we ask that you travel along the fence lining the LRT tracks, behind the Coliseum, heading south towards the Edmonton EXPO Centre. You will then access the building via the A3 overhead door into Hall A. (see map on the following page) If you are leaving directly after your event please follow the same path back to Lot E as you came. To facilitate horse movement between Lot E and the Edmonton EXPO Centre, our Parking Service staff and Access Control volunteers are positioned along the route to ensure the safe delivery and return of you and your horse Contestant Information Page 1 of 5

3 PARKING ALL contestant parking, (vehicles and trailers) will be located in parking Lot E at the Coliseum. Please enter through the 119th ave entrance along Wayne Gretzky Drive. All vehicles and trailers MUST vacate the premises by midnight. Any vehicles or trailers present after midnight will be towed from the premises at the vehicle owner s expense. Contestants parking in this area will not have assigned stalls but will be parked in the order in which they arrive. Please follow the direction of the parking staff on site. There are enough stalls available for each contestant vehicle/trailer for the day they are competing only. 4 K-DAYS RODEO 2018 ACCREDITATION INFORMATION Safety is our priority at Northlands, and that value is of utmost importance during K-Days and the K-Days Rodeo. There are a number of areas that require special access in order to secure and establish a safe environment for our people and livestock. We appreciate everyone s cooperation and understanding in following the accreditation system and process as outlined and determined by Northlands. Any distribution of a backstage pass will require the execution of a release form prior to receiving accreditation. Each backstage pass will require the first and last name of the intended pass holder. Names for these passes must be submitted by July 13, 2018 by the appropriate association liaison. To administer this process, an Accreditation Booth will be set up for K-Days Rodeo participants to sign the release form and pick up their pass. Government Issued Photo ID will be required. Except for special circumstances as determined solely by Northlands, no one under the age of 18 will be permitted in backstage areas. Please arrive early to allow enough time to obtain your pass from the Accreditation Booth. ACCREDITATION HOURS: Wednesday, July 18, :00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 19, :00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. Please note that the Accreditation Office PRIOR to July 20, 2018 will be at Northlands Park on the second floor. Friday, July 20, 2018 to Sunday July 22, :00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. EVENT DAY ACCREDITATION BOOTH LOCATION: There will be an accreditation booth outside at the entrance to parking Lot E. You must stop here first and obtain your accreditation pass, and fill out the necessary waivers, etc. Once this step is complete, you will be granted access to the parking lot.
