1 Hall of Fame Committee Report 12 candidates for the 2017 MTF Hall of Fame have been nominated. 11 are athletes and one is being nominated as an administrator. The MTF Hall of Fame committee will vote for no more than 6 of the 12 candidates. Voting will be ongoing and those selected will be announced at the annual convention of USATF in December Below is the list of candidates and their stats. Allowed athlete performance submissions Commenced compiling all-inclusive rankings worldwide August 2015 WMA recognizes the site as the official rankings for our sport Improvements making the system easier to use encourage greater usage. Athletes instantly gratified by having submitted results listed Impacts: Increased quantity of listed athletes (2006: 4,315; 2017: 14,232) Improved quality and accuracy of lists Throws Meets: 2013 developed an Excel based throws meet management program. The program compiles rosters, creates prefilled field sheets, facilitates results entry, scores throws & ultra-weight pentathlons, shows athlete placing in age groups and automatically creates meet results in conventionally accepted format. This has been used for USATF Masters Throws Championship partially in 2013 & 2014 and completely in 2015, 2016 & Benefits: Saves meet organizers time and money easy to use workbook eliminates need for having timing companies. Entering information is easy. Preparing meet results is easier than other programs and reduces error potential. Several meet organizers routinely use and think it is invaluable tool to put on meets. Results for publication are created automatically Throwers get real-time scoring / placing updates during the competition Knowing where they stand is very important. Results for inserting into rankings are created automatically.. Ultra-Weight: Developed an improved weight set comprised of 3 segments 2016 Worked on design improvement and organized inexpensive fabrication resulting in tripling number of implements worldwide 2017 Organizing inexpensive fabrication which may increase number of implements worldwide by 50% Benefits: Reduced cost; Implements easily transported to meets National Masters News: 2007 Provide complete meet results for publication. This has evolved over time commenced actively promoting NMN through the rankings site. Like above, this has evolved as NMN & MastersRankings brainstorm to leverage MastersRankings resources to further promote NMN. For example, MastersRankings alerts athletes, in a multitude of ways, that they qualified for All-American awards and provides a convenient link for them to order awards.
7 Benefits: MastersRankings reduces NMN operating costs by providing results requiring less formatting for publication which saves NMN labor. MastersRankings should increase NMN revenue by increasing awards orders and subscriptions Additional information: Resource for athletes, officials, WMA & Affiliates representatives receive and respond to dozens of correspondences weekly which include T&F related questions and promoting participation in USATF events. Actively advocating for athletes on a number of issues including ratifying records under unusual circumstances. 8.
