2 WELCOME TO RISING JUBILEE RUN 2017 The spirit to organize the Rising Jubilee Run is to enhance interaction among the people of Singapore and the people of Indonesia as so to bond a closer and stronger tie. 50 years after the establishment of a bilateral relation between Indonesia and Singapore, both countries agree that much has been achieved and gained. The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore came up with the initiative to organize a Fun Run as a people-to-people venue that will allow the people of Singapore and people of Indonesia to interact and engage closer. Men sana in corpore sano - the idea of a Fun Run is to remind the citizen of both nations on the hardship and achievements of the past 50 years of bilateral relations as well as enhance the interaction and cultural exchange of both countries by the means of bonding through a run event and a festive carnival for the people.

5 GETTING TO THE RACE VILLAGE Fort Gate, Fort Canning Park Singapore 70 River Valley Road, Singapore BY MRT Clarke Quay Station: Come out from Exit E, turn left and walk along Coleman Bridge. Turn left again at the end of Coleman Bridge and head towards the pedestrian overhead bridge (100m away) along River Valley Road. Cross the overhead bridge and you will enter Fort Canning Park. Dhoby Ghaut Station: Come out from Exit B, cross Penang Road, turn left and keep a lookout for the tunnel leading to Fort Canning Park. Fort Canning Station: Come out from Exit B, turn right and head along Clemenceau Avenue, lookout for the staircase on the right leading up to Fort Canning Park. 7 RACE DETAILS RACE ENTRY PACK COLLECTION Race Entry Pack Collection for all runners will take place on event day (10 Dec 2017) from 0630hrs to 0800hrs at the Information Tent. All runners are required to collect their race packs before the start of the race. 8 RACE DETAILS RACE BIB All runners will receive a race bib in the race entry pack. During the entire race, the race bib must be worn visibly in the front of your race singlet (chest level or lower) with the safety pins provided. BAGGAGE DEPOSIT AREA Baggage deposit will be available from 0630hrs to 1500hrs. We encourage all runners to travel light and not to bring any valuables on race day as organisers will not be responsible for the loss of any items. LOST AND FOUND If you have lost or found an item, please approach the Information Tent.At the end of the event, found items will be transported to the Race Organizer s office at 82 Lorong 23 Geylang, #02-05 ATRIX, Singapore If you have lost an item, it is your responsibility to contact the Race Organizer at info@hivelocity.com.sg. All found items will be discarded one month after the race date.

11 Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) The Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) is designed to help you assess your level of readiness for physical activity. It s a simple test that only requires a few minutes of your time to complete. If you are planning to become more physically active than you are now, start by answering the seven questions in the box below. If your age range falls between 15 to 69 years, the PAR-Q will be an indication if you should check with your doctor before you start. If you are over 69 years of age and are not used to being very active, please check with your doctor before proceeding. ARE YOU SPORTS SAFE? Common sense is your best guide when answering these questions. Please read them carefully and answer each one honestly YES YES NO NO 1. Has your doctor ever said that you have a heart condition and that you should only do physical activity recommended by a doctor? 2. Do you feel pain in your chest when you do physical activity?

Do you lose your balance because of dizziness or do you ever lose consciousness? 5. Do you have a bone or joint problem (for example, back, knee or hip) that could be made worse by a change in your physical activity? 6. Is your doctor currently prescribing drugs (for example, water pills) for your blood pressure or heart condition? 7. Do you know of any other reason why you should not do physical activity? If you answered YES to one or more questions, talk to your doctor before you start becoming more physically active or before a fitness appraisal. Tell your doctor about the PAR-Q and the questions you answered Yes to. If you answered NO honestly to all PAR-Q questions, you can be reasonably sure that you can start becoming more physically active - begin slowly and build up gradually. This is the safest and easiest way to go
