Preferred Criteria Licences - Class 3, 4, and r 5 Drivers Licence Experience, Knwledge and Skills Preferable minimum f 2 years experience as a Line Mechanic r Cable Jinter wrking in the NZ Electrical distributin sectr, wrking with distributin plant and equipment. Ability t perate heavy machinery e.g. trucks, trailers, mechanical winches Experience in the installatin f undergrund cables Innvative t the extent f being capable f implementing new technlgy and imprved prcedures. Current wrking knwledge f industry safety rules. Numeracy and Literacy skills. Attributes: Ability t perfrm call-ut duties, pssibly alne and after hurs, in inclement weather. Wrk utdrs (apprximately 95% f time) in all types f weather and envirnmental cnditins, (i.e. hles in grund, trenches, rugh terrain, snw, fallen branches, heavy underbrush). Wrk at heights, and be capable f wrking frm an Elevated Wrk Platfrm Vehicle (EWP), and ladder. Capable f lifting and wrking with bulky equipment (i.e. ladders weigh 35kg). 2

Assist the Electrical Supervisr t achieve agreed perfrmance gals by prviding line maintenance, line cnstructin and line fault repair services. Crdinate with ther Peak Pwer and PwerNet staff, particularly ther dept staff, t ensure assigned tasks meet required utcmes including cmpletin within budget, n time, and as efficiently as pssible. Assist with the develpment, maintenance, and peratin f the Peak Pwer and PwerNet netwrks by prviding the fllwing services: Install, replace, and maintain verhead pwer line equipment, ples and ple Am prud f the jb I have dne. Have cntributed t a jb well dne by the team Cmplete allcated prjects r jbs in a timely manner. Demnstrate gd interpersnal and rganisatinal skills. 4 Netwrk Access Certificate (NAC) Scpe f Practice Plant and Equipment munted equipment (i.e. transfrmers, fuses, switches, circuit breakers, cnductrs, crssarms, insulatrs, terminatins, cnnectins, etc.). Install, replace, and maintain undergrund/grund munted pwer line equipment (i.e. cables, transfrmers, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, enclsures, pillar bxes, terminatins, cnnectins, etc.). Perfrm netwrk switching (when authrised). Perfrm fault lcatin, diagnsis, and repair duties (when authrised). Participate in a faults rster t prvide a 24/7 respnse fr Peak Pwer. Participate when required in substatin cnstructin, refurbishment and maintenance Assist with pwer transfrmer assembly Participate when required with transmissin line cnstructin and maintenance Carry ut lw vltage cable jinting and terminatin wrk Carry ut EHV jinting and terminatin wrk up t 66 kv Participate when required with tree cutting adjacent t pwer lines Participate when required with street lighting installatin and maintenance Prepared t cancel any wrk activity when unsafe t cntinue and fllwup with apprpriate / required actins. Adherence and cmpliance at all times with NAC Scpe f Practice. The effective and efficient use and care f plant and equipment made available fr undertaking wrk.
