3 Swimming Ability Classification Conducted By Troop Return to: 317 N. Grand Troops are permitted to conduct their own swim checks and bring this certification with them to camp. Swim checks must be done by a certified lifeguard (either BSA or American Red Cross ) and supervised by an adult leader registered in the troop in accordance with Safe Swim Defense guidelines and policies outlined in the Guide to Safe Scouting. A copy of the lifeguard s certification must be attached to this form.
