3 Course Types HSE & QCF Level 3 First Aid At Work (3 Day Course) Includes AED Certification 18 hours over 3 days. 8.30am pm VAT. This First Aid training course is designed for companies whose Risk Assessment identifies that in order to comply with the current Health & Safety First Aid Regulations 1981, there is a need to provide acceptable First Aid provision for their workforce. The course is designed to provide the First Aider with the skills necessary to provide treatment for injury or illness until further help arrives. The following ranges of subjects are covered:- Assessing, diagnosing & incident management. First aider s responsibilities. Preventing cross infection, recording accidents and incidents. Treating unconsciousness. CPR training. Choking, anaphylactic shock and asthma. Bleeding, shock & hygiene practices. Heart attacks and strokes. Severe burns and scalds. 4 HSE & QCF Level 3 First Aid At Work Requalification (2 Day Course)Includes AED Certification 12 hours over 2 days. 8.30am 4.00pm VAT. These First Aid courses are only available to existing First Aiders with a requirement to renew their First Aid At Work certificate. Once a certificate has expired, the employee is no longer considered competent to act as a First Aider in the workplace. The following ranges of subjects are covered:- Current guidelines update. This comprehensive HSE & QCF Regulated First Aid training course is for smaller workplaces, where a Risk Assessment has identified that the workplace presents few Health & Safety risks. It can also be used in larger workplaces as additional assistance to other staff that have completed the Level 3 First Aid At Work course. Current guidelines update. Assessing, diagnosing & incident management. First aider s responsibilities. Preventing cross infection, recording accidents and incidents. Treating unconsciousness. CPR. Choking. Bleeding, shock & hygiene practices. Epilepsy. courses will be required to complete practical skills tests and theory assessment.
6 HSE & RQF Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Course (2 Day Course, Complies With OFSTED & EYFS ) Includes AED Certification 12 hours over 2 days. 8.30am 4.00pm VAT. This comprehensive Level 3 Paediatric (2 day course) course has been designed specifically for individuals who provide care for babies and children under 8 years old. The course syllabus has been designed in accordance with the UK resuscitation guidelines (2015) and meets the requirements of:- OFSTED, Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework, Pre-School Learning Alliance, NCMA (National Child Minders Association) Sure Start and NVQ in childcare and education. The following ranges of subjects are covered:- First aid responsibilities/priorities when dealing with emergencies. Safety precautions within a childcare environment. Dealing with medication/accident forms/calling for an ambulance & first aid boxes. Treatment of unconsciousness. CPR training. Choking. Bleeding, shock & hygiene practices. This Level 3 Emergency First Aid training course (1 day course) for Parents and Child Carers is designed for anyone who wants to learn about First Aid and has a professional involvement or cares for children and babies. The following subjects are covered:- First Aid responsibilities and priorities when dealing with emergencies. Safety precautions within a childcare environment. Dealing with medication, accident forms, calling for an ambulance and First Aid boxes. Treatment of unconsciousness. Child & Baby CPR training. Child & Baby choking. Anaphylaxis. Bleeding, shock and hygiene practices.
8 3 Hour First Aid Annual Refresher Training Course (HSE Recommended) Includes AED Certification 3 hours over 1 day. 8.30am 11.30am VAT. The HSE now recommend that all First Aiders receive annual refresher training between re-qualification to prevent skills fade. This 3 hour First Aid training course is delivered to the HSE s syllabus, and provides First Aiders with the opportunity to practice and update their practical skills, refresh theoretical knowledge and ensure that they are kept up to date with the latest First Aid guidelines. Changes to current first aid practices. Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency. Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure). CPR. Wounds and bleeding. Shock. Assessment is ongoing by the instructor.
9 QCF Regulated Level 2 Basic Life Support & Management Of Anaphylaxis (4 Hours) Includes AED Certification 4 hours over 1 day. Group bookings only VAT per delegate. This qualification is ideal for delegates who have a specific responsibility at work, home or in voluntary and community activities to provide basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis in an emergency. The following subjects are covered:- Chain Of Survival. Incident and casualty assessment. CPR. Anaphylaxis
10 QCF Regulated Level 2 Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation & Automated External Defibrillation Duration Of Course: Hours over 1 day. Group bookings only VAT per delegate. Heart and circulatory disease claims around 200,000 lives each year. Many could have been saved if a defibrillator was made available. Automated External Defibrillators (AED s) are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and work places. A casualty s survival rate will dramatically increase if an AED is available and if you have appropriately qualified personnel to use it. This very practical course will enable your learners to use the AED competently and with confidence. Not only does this course deal with the use of an AED but it also includes vital training in resuscitation and choking procedures. The following subjects are covered. Basic Life Support requirements. CPR & AED safety considerations. Use of the Automated External Defibrillator. AED user maintenance and troubleshooting. Recovery position. Choking. Handover and reporting.
11 3 Hour Paediatric First Aid Course For Parents, Grandparents, Friends & Carers 3 hours over 1 day. Group bookings only VAT per delegate. This is an informal course to provide basic First Aid for children and babies. This is ideal for use in the home. This course does not meet the requirements of First Aid in the workplace. The following ranges of subjects are covered:- CPR. Recovery Position. Choking. Bleeding. Anaphylaxis. Meningitis. Temperature related illness and much more.
12 First Aid Awareness Training Course. Includes AED Certification 3 hours over 1 day. Group bookings only VAT per delegate. This 3 hour First Aid training course is designed to give individuals a basic awareness of First Aid, without the need for a formal assessment. A certificate attendance will be issued. This course does not meet the requirements for a First Aider at Work. The following ranges of subjects are covered:- Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency. 13 Pet And Canine First Aid Course 3 4 hours over ½ day. 8.30am 12.30pm VAT. This Pet First Aid course is a classroom based course. It is an essential for all dog owners, dog walkers, dog groomers, pet house sitters and dog trainers. It will give you the skills to deal with minor injuries; it will also give you the skills to assist you in preventing your dog from deteriorating until professional help is given by your vet. The following ranges of subjects are covered:- Introduction to canine first aid. The vet and your role in first aid. When is veterinary care required? Keeping your pet safe in an emergency. 14 16 Hour Outdoor First Aid Course. Includes AED Certification 16 hours over 2 days. 8.30am 5.00pm VAT. Eligibility:- Delegates must be 16 years of age at the time they start the course. However, any delegate less than 16 years of age may attend the course but will receive an attendance certificate. This outdoor course focuses on First Aid for the outdoor environment and meets the requirements of most of the UK NGB outdoor instructor s awards. The course is designed to meet the needs of those working away from immediate assistance 30 minutes) in remote and rural settings in the UK. The following ranges of subjects are covered:- Fears of First Aid. Assessing, diagnosing & incident management. Decision to move or not to move a patient. First Aiders responsibilities.
