3 Summer League Practices: Practices start Tuesday May 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday Senior Group - ages :30pm-6:30pm Age Group - ages 10 & Under 6:30pm-7:30pm Practices change starting Tuesday, May 30 Monday-Friday Senior Group - 8am-9:30am Age Group - 9am-10am There is no practice on Memorial Day or Independence Day. There is no practice the morning after a swim meet. Parents may not be on deck during any practices. Team Website: All parents will have their own account on this website. The website contains all information regarding swim meets and events. Log in directions will be sent from Team Unify after your swimmer has been registered for swim team. If you do not receive this please check your spam and notify the coaches. Communication: Coaches are unable to talk to parents during practice so the best way to contact the coaches is to talk off deck or via at meredith@gapiedmontymca.org. communications from coaches are usually sent from the team website. Swim Meets: The meet schedule will be posted on the website under the Meets and Events tab at the top of the page. Parents must commit their swimmer for the meets on the website before the deadline. Swimmers cannot be entered in swim meets once the deadline has passed. Parents may request certain events for their swimmer, however coaches make the final decision on swimmer s events. Swimmers who can do all four strokes can participate in Pentathlon. All ability levels may participate in Splash. All swimmers may participate in the NGSL Championship as long as they have participated at Pentathlon or Splash. Swimmers who have submitted a Birth Certificate and are 7 years of age by June 1st may swim at the GRPA A District Meet. Swimmers who place in the top 3 places at the District meet will advance to the GRPA A State Meet.

4 Meet Fees: Sanctioned meets have meet fees for each event. Dual meets do not have any meet fees. Meet fees usually average around $4.50 per individual event, and $2.00 per swimmer for relays. If your swimmer is entered after the final approval of events but does not attend the meet for any reason, the meet fees must still be paid. All meet fees must be paid on the website. Meet fees cannot be paid at the front desk. Coach Meredith will communicate with parents when the meet fee payment is due on the website for each meet. Parent Volunteers/Donations: We host several meets at the Brad Akins Y and we will need all parents to volunteer for meets. We must also provide volunteers at all away sanctioned meets (Splash and NGSL Championships.) Volunteer opportunities include timing, place judge, concessions, ribbons, and more. A volunteer sign-up link for each meet will be sent out to parents. We have a concessions table at all home meets. All items sold are donated by the parents. We will request donations for each home meet for the concessions. Please turn in concessions donations at least 48 hours before the meets. The money raised at concessions goes directly back towards the swimmers for equipment and awards. Apparel: Team suits can be found by logging into our website and clicking on the Team Store tab at the top of the page. Swimmers t-shirts are included with their registrations. Parents can purchase a swim team t-shirt for $10 with the attached registration form. Parent t-shirt money is due to the coaches in cash or check no later than Wednesday, May 30.

5 PRICING The Required Payment and Total Due sections MUST be completed. Required Payments: SUMMER LEAGUE REGISTRATION (For the Long Course registration form please use Summer Season Long Course registration.) CIRCLE ONE: MEMBERS: $165 includes latex cap $175 includes silicone cap NON-MEMBERS: $190 includes latex cap $200 includes silicone cap ADDITIONAL SWIM CAPS: Latex: $5.00 Silicone: $15.00 Optional Payments: **Please pay for family t-shirts in the Aquatics Office only. You can pay with Cash or Checks made payable to YMCA Barracudas. Family T-Shirts: $10/shirt SIZE YS YM YL AS AM AL AXL A2XL A3XL QUANTITY Additional caps may be purchased in the swim office. The team suit can be purchased from our team website. Family shirt money is due Wednesday, May 30 Total # of shirts: x $10 = $_ Please turn this in to the coaches or the pool office at practice. 6 Instructions for Website Set Up WEBSITE: NOTE - after everything you do on your account, please make sure to click on the Save Changes button, usually at the bottom of the screen. To set up your account: Once your account has been set up by the coaches, you will receive an from TeamUnify with instructions and a link to set up your password. If you do not see this in your inbox then please check your spam. Please let the coaches know within week of the first practice if you do not receive this . To commit for a swim meet: Sign in to your account. Select the meets and events tab. Select which meet you would like to declare your swimmer to attend. Select attend/decline button. You will see a drop down menu to declare or decline your swimmer s attendance. You can also make comments to the coaches in the box underneath. You can also select requested events for your swimmer. These events are subject to final approval by the coaches. To change your account information: Sign in to your account. On the left hand menu select "My Account", opens up Billing Account Configuration page. Make necessary changes (account info and billing set-up tabs on this page) and click "save changes" on the bottom right. To pay meet fees: Sign in to your account. On the left hand menu select My Account. Click My Invoice/ Payment to open the Invoice page to show current charges. Please know that YOU must initiate payment. This is not an automatic payment option. Use the Make Payment tab at the top of the page, choose the amount to pay, and click Pay Now at the bottom right. You can also use this page to edit which card you would like to use. You must also add a card by clicking the Set Up Auto Pay option on the menu tab on the left and it will take you to the page for your account. You can add or change the default payment card on your account. You are required to have your card saved to your account prior to being entered for any meets. After meet entries are finalized, we give parents a deadline to pay meet fees, and also a date that we will charge the card on file if you have not done so manually.
