Paolo Lorenzi (ATP ranking #36) and Alessandro Giannessi (ATP ranking #88) impressed Coveleigh with their tennis skills in advance of their US Open matches. Coveleigh kids and adults had the opportunity to play some points with the pros, get autographs and take pictures. An exciting day for tennis enthusiasts!! We wish them luck at the US Open and thank them for visiting us!

2 Here are the September events: Century Cup Date: Monday, September 4th Time: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Play for Pink Ladies Member-Guest Date: Wednesday, September 13th Time: 9:00 AM 2:00 PM Men s Member Guest Date: Saturday, September 9th Time: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM The lawn bowling green is a happening place. We are in the midst of the lawn bowling championship matches. The finals will be over Labor Day weekend. The lawn bowl league play ended in early August. All participants in league play had a fun time. Many new bowlers joined league play and we anticipate getting more new bowlers in The women tried something new this year. On August 1st we played in the evening. Sunset bowling was a lot of fun and after the matches we had a lovely pizza dinner with drinks and dessert. We look forward to doing more Sunset League bowling next year. On September 10th it is the men versus women s matches where the first place men s team plays against the first place women s team. It is always a lot of fun and quite competitive. After the competition we have our annual closing luncheon. On September 17th at 3:00 PM it is our Color Wars event. Come and enjoy bowling, soft drinks, wine, beer and light fare. All members are invited to participate and teens are welcome. The Coveleigh Book Club will be reading, The Chemist by Stephanie Meyer author of the Twilight Saga This is a fast-paced thriller about an US government agent that very few people ever knew existed. Alex is an expert in her field and one of the darkest secrets of an agency so clandestine that it doesn't even have a name. When they decide she is a liability, they came for her without warning. Join us on Tuesday, September 12th, at 7:00 PM in the Parlor. All new members are welcomed to attend! The Awards Dinner is on October 1st. It is lawn bowling s time to shine. Awards are given to the 1st and 2nd place teams. Please come and enjoy a wonderful party. As always the green are open for social bowling. The women have decided to social bowl on Thursdays. There is also social bowling on Saturday and Sunday. Please feel free to grab a bowl and enjoy the sport. Thursday, August 31st will be our last day of Drop In Bridge We meet at the Tiki Bar (weather permitting) 1:30 PM All levels are welcome! Please bring cards.

The Coveleigh Swim & Dive Team wrapped up another season with some great diving and fast swims!

County diving took place at Lake Isle Country Club on Monday, July 24 th and Tuesday, July 25th.

Jackie Riordan placed 8th and Troy Dalton placed 7th in the 17 & under age group. Never say never when it comes to Counties at Playland!

3 The Coveleigh Swim & Dive Team wrapped up another season with some great diving and fast swims! We are happy to be staying in Division 2 and finished our season with spirit at the Westchester County and Conference Championship Finals. County diving took place at Lake Isle Country Club on Monday, July 24 th and Tuesday, July 25th. Jolie Pineault placed 7th and Ellie Hedges placed 9th in the girls 13 & under age group. Jackie Riordan placed 8th and Troy Dalton placed 7th in the 17 & under age group. Never say never when it comes to Counties at Playland! The 92nd County swim meet took place Monday, July 31stThursday, August, 3rd with Coveleigh finishing in 13th place.
