1 Tuesday Morning Walking/Hiking Schedule: January to March 201 This schedule is posted on the HRC website and includes links to parking lot locations. We also have short write ups and photos of some hikes where there's been i snowing heavily or storming, walk will be cancelled; use discretion. As we never know who will show up for s we are unable to phone to advise cancellation Janette Wood cell # Mike Pannett home # Larry Carr cell # Summer out of city hikes: Car pooling can be arranged for out of town hikes by calling Bev. 9:00 a.m. meet in Valley Ridge off Hwy 1 - first right past gas station, firs include some elevation but we stop whenever someone wants a break. Consider a waterproof backpack, hiking footwear, water and adequate clothing to make your da and call Bev Rumsey to confirm your attendance (for out of city hikes only). Winter City Walks: Due to weather conditions, yak tracks or boots with good tred highly recommended; walking poles may also be helpful. Coffee or lunch to be deter have been chosen in consideration of where the city clears pathways and where paths are fairly. Walk will be a loop through Bowness Park and Baker Park (across the river). Jan 31 North Glenmore Park Meet at parking lot A at the south end of Crowchild Trail. The parking lot is near the Calgary Canoe Club after you pass through the Lakeview district. Walk south to the Weaselhead area and back. relatively Feb 7 Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. Meet in the parking lot at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. Walk along city pathways. If coming from the north of the river, take Memorial Dr. /Bowness Rd. to Shaganappi Tr., turn south and park on the north side of the footbridge. We will meet on the north side, in front of the footbridge by Angel s and will walk west.
