2 This booklet outlines routes in Solihull that exlore the areas in and around the local arks. Walking is an excellent way to achieve your recommended amount of hysical activity as it is free and you don t need any secial equiment! Suitable for anyone, you can go walking anywhere and at any time, and you can start slowly and gradually increase distance and time. You should aim to walk briskly to gain the most health benefits, such as; reducing blood ressure, reducing stress, managing your weight, and making you feel good. Brisk walking should leave you breathing a little faster (but still able to hold a conversation), feeling a little bit warmer, and your heart beating more quickly. Walking is an excellent way to imrove and maintain a healthy lifestyle, so why not walk one of these routes in your local area? The mas within are reroduced from the Ordnance Survey material with the ermission of Ordnance Survey on behalf of The Controller of Her Majesty s Stationery Office. Crown coyright. Unauthorised reroduction infringes Crown coyright and may lead to rosecution or civil roceedings. Solihull Metroolitan Borough Council
