1 US Club Soccer Registration Process Instructions 2008/2009 Season Barb Budgick is the league contact for Delco to US Club Soccer. Delegates and coaches are not to call the US Club office directly as they will only refer you back to Barb for any Delco Soccer League issues. O V E RV I E W This document provides you with the information necessary to register your club, teams, players, and coaches within the US Club Soccer system ( as well as processing passes and getting your team rosters stamped for the season and tournament play. Clubs new to US Club Soccer and/or Delco Soccer League will be required to register your club at US Club Soccer. However, existing teams and clubs register with US club soccer will not need to register again. Club registration instructions can be found under Registering your club. Existing teams, players, coaches, and managers are not required to register again. Your information is already available within the US Club Soccer system. To register new teams, players, and coaches or managers please refer to Team registration, Player registration, or Coach/Manager registration respectively. OTE: Failure to follow directions will result in passes not being stamped and team rosters not being stamped until each team is 100% correct. Please double-check your work before attending a registration session! OTE: Only delegates can contact the Delco Soccer League US Club Registrar. 2 K E Y I F O R M AT I O & D AT E S Registration Dates for stamping passes and team rosters (locations and times to be determined) o Wednesday July 23 rd open for all clubs Location: Springfield Township Building Delaware County o Wednesday July 30 th open for teams playing in early tournaments Location: West Chester Office Westtown Road WC PA o Thursday August 14th open for all clubs Location: USTC DOwningtown o Tuesday August 26 th open for all clubs Location: USTC DOwningtown o Thursday Sept 4 th clean up night by Barb s invitation only Location: ET Richardson Middle School Springfield pa OTE: All clubs must attend one of the following registration dates; I will not process any teams at my home until after the season starts. This will only be for adds/drops, info can be sent to: Barb Budgick 1113 Randall Avenue Boothwyn, PA Requesting Passes within US Club Soccer system o Passes for the new season can be requested after July 1, 2008 Coaches and Manager (Staff) passes must be renewed every year Any player who received a pass last year will receive a sticker on their pass for this year o Players who received a sticker last year will be required to get a new pass Only club delegates should contact the Delco Soccer League US Club Registrar for any questions o Please include your name and club as part of the to ensure proper responses questions to: barbbudgick@comcast.net o US Club should not be contacted directly for any registration issues You will not be charged any fees by USCS and you should not pay any fees directly to US Club Soccer. 4 R E G I S T E R I G Y O U R C L U B This section describes the process to register your club. If your club is already registered with US Club Soccer skip this section. 1. From the US Club Soccer Home page a. Click the Registration tab i. Select Apply Now b. Type of Membership i. Select League Team c. League Name i. Select Delco Soccer from the dropdown list d. Complete the remainder of the information e. Click Submit Application OTE: Clubs are approved by the Delco US Club Registrar. Upon approval you will be ed a password, which will allow you to start entering coaching staff, players, teams, etc. S TA F F B A C K G R O U D C H E C K This section describes the process to submit a background check for all club staff members. OTE: Background checks for the 2008/2009 season can be submitted after July 1, From the US Club Soccer Home page a. Click the Registration tab i. Select Staff Background Check ii. Detailed instructions will appear on the main content portion of the page. b. Click the Staff Background Check Application (words in blue) c. Choose your Registration Type from the drop down list d. Choose League Team e. Choose Delco Soccer from the dropdown list f. Complete all information g. Click Submit when complete i. Do not submit this more than once. ii. Do not complete more than once OTE: You will not receive a card immediately following your submission. The Delco Soccer League US Club Registrar will process all Staff passes.
5 T E A M R E G I S T R AT I O This section describes the process to register teams for your club. OTE: Staff must be registered before adding a team. 1. Adding a team a. Login b. Click the Team Management tab c. Click Add Team d. Complete the information e. Click Add Team f. Repeat process as needed 2. Modifying existing teams a. Login (if not already) b. Click the Team Management tab c. Click the Details button for the team to modify d. Make the appropriate changes e. Click Update Team when complete P L AY E R R E G I S T R AT I O This section describes the process to register players. OTE: Players cannot be added until the teams are created. 1. Adding a player a. Login b. Click the Player Management tab c. Click Add Player d. Complete the information e. Click Add Player f. Repeat process as needed 2. Modifying existing players a. Login (if not already) b. Click the Player Management tab c. Click the View button next to the team the player is on d. Click the Details button for the player to modify e. Make the appropriate changes f. Click Update Player when complete

Make sure that staff background check was completed first. 3. Adding a staff member a. Login b. Click the Staff Management tab c. Click Add Staff d. Complete the information e. Click Add Staff f. Repeat process as needed 4. Modifying existing staff a. Login (if not already) b. Click the Staff Management tab c. Click the Details button for the staff to modify d. Make the appropriate changes e. Click Update Staff when complete R E Q U E S T I G PA S S E S This section describes the process to request passes for players and staff 1. Requesting Player Passes a. Login (if not) b. Click Player Management tab c. Click the View button next to the team with players to request passes d. Click Passcards/Release e. Click the checkbox Request Passcard f. Click the 3 checkboxes at the bottom of the page g. Click the Submit button 2. Requesting Staff Passes a. Login (if not) b. Click Staff Management tab c. Click Passcards d. Click the checkbox Request Passcard e. Click the checkbox at the bottom of the page f. Click the Submit button OTE: Passes are approved by the Delco US Club Registrar. Upon approval you will be ed a.pdf file with the approved passes
7 R E G I S T R AT I O / P R O C E S S I G T E A M S, P L AY E R PA S S E S, A D C O A C H E S PA S S E S This section describes the information needed in order to get your teams stamped at one of the registration dates. This is the last step in the process. OTE: Any incomplete information or incorrect paperwork will result in the entire team not being processed. Please make sure all steps described below are complete before attending a registration session. OTE: Regardless of player status new US Club Soccer Registration/Medical release forms are required each year. This ensures the Registrar has the most up to date information. What you need for each team 1. ew players a. Valid Proof of Birth i. State birth certificate ii. Valid Passport or Foreign birth certificate iii. OTE: Hospital Birth documents are not valid! b. Player pass i. Must be printed on light blue cardstock ii. Must be cut to size iii. Must have picture adhered to pass 1. Use a glue stick 2. OTE: Do not paperclip, staple or tape! 3. OTE: player signature is not required! iv. Completed US Club Soccer Registration/Medical Release Form 1. All information is required 2. Signatures are required 2. Returning players with passes received last year (2007/2008) a. Player pass will be used as proof of birth b. Completed US Club Soccer Registration/Medical Release Form 1. All information is required 2. Signatures are required c. OTE: if the player received his pass last year a sticker will be placed on the pass and it will be valid for this year
8 3. Returning players with expiring 2 nd year passes a. Player pass will be used as proof of birth i. Pass will not be returned b. Player pass i. Must be printed on light blue cardstock ii. Must be cut to size iii. Must have picture adhered to pass 1. Use a glue stick 2. OTE: Do not paperclip, staple or tape! 3. OTE: player signature is not required! c. Completed US Club Soccer Registration/Medical Release Form 1. All information is required 2. Signatures are required 4. Transfer players a. Player pass and Valid birth certificate must be presented i. Old pass will not be returned b. Player pass i. Must be printed on light blue cardstock ii. Must be cut to size iii.
