3 1 AIM To provide all club Registrars with the appropriate information and training to enable them to enter their member s details into MyNetball prior to submitting their club s registrations for any BHSNA competition. 2 REGISTRATION INFORMATION 2.1 All clubs must affiliate with BHSNA each year by completing the Affiliation Form and paying the prescribed fee as set at the AGM. 2.2 Dates for registration nights are advised at the November Council Meeting in the BHSNA calendar. 2.3 Team registrations will consist of a minimum of 5 players and will be limited to 12 fully registered players per team except in extenuating circumstances. A player can only be registered in their age group and up one age division. All individual players registration fees, as part of the Fees & Fines and Payments Policy are set at the November Council meeting and must be paid in full on the prescribed registration date. In addition to these 12 players, a team may register a maximum of 2 players for single games. Single game fees apply first, second and third game and must be paid prior to the player participating in a competition game. 2.4 The Team Registration Form will be completed with each player s details as requested on the form and must be provided on registration night. 2.5 Registration details are required to be completed for each registered member and held by the Club. By registering, the player/non-player/parent/guardian agrees to abide by the BHSNA Constitution and policies, and the relevant policies of Netball NSW. 2.6 All players must be registered prior to playing. 2.7 A player may not register with more than one club in any one competition. 2.8 Photo Identification is required for all players. Refer to section 3 - Photo Identification System. 2.9 All new players to BHSNA must provide a copy of a Birth Certificate, passport or other substantiating documents for proof of age Registration for Junior Representative players. (i) (ii) No club shall register more than THREE representative players in any one team in the 12 years, 13 years, 14 years age and 15 years divisions. A team may have more than the stipulated 3 representative players, if the players are Club Developed. Exceptions limited to teams placed in appropriate divisions at the discretion of the Grading Committees. Club Developed Definition years old players will have deemed to be club developed if they have played for the same club for 3 or more consecutive years. 12-year-old players will have deemed to be club developed if they have played for the same club for 2 or more consecutive years. 3
4 A player may be deemed club developed if they have not been registered with any other netball club within BHSNA prior to the current playing year Metro League Players. (i) Registration forms and fees for Metro League players will be finalised on date as set and advised by Senior Representative Convenor to all clubs and players selected into the Metro League teams. (ii) Club Registrars must highlight any Metro League player who will be participating in a club s winter competition team, on the Team Registration Form. (iii) Club Registrars must complete a Metro League Players Form for all players within their affiliated club who are registered and paid their fees to play Metro League Non-Players. (i) All club s non-players must be included on the Non-Players Form and submitted to the BHSNA Registrar on Registration Night. (ii) Non-players should include umpires, coaches, managers and club Executive NetSetGO Skills Program. (i) Registration for NetSetGO Skills program is to be completed online. (ii) A list of registered participants must be submitted to the BHSNA Registrar on Registration night Registration for Life Members. (i) Affiliated clubs are to complete a listing of currently registered BHSNA Life Members and return on designated registration night. (ii) Those BHSNA Life Members will have their Netball NSW component paid by BHSNA Late Registrations. (i) New players may be registered by an affiliated club after the commencement of the competition by completing the Late Registration Form with the player s details and signed by the Club Registrar. (ii) A cheque, cash or proof of EFT for the prescribed registration fee, together with the player s photo identification, proof of date of birth (where applicable) and the Payment Summary Sheet must be provided. (iii) Please check Late Registration Guidelines, attachment 1 in Playing Regulations Policy and Procedures. (iv) All are to be handed to the Registrar or her representative at Kellyville at least 20 minutes prior to the commencement of the club s first game of the day or by pm for clubs who only have senior teams. (v) The photo identification will be endorsed with the official BHSNA stamp at that time (i) Deliberately providing misleading or false information on registration forms will result in non-acceptance or cancellation of a player s registration. (ii) No refund will be due if a player s registration is cancelled. (iii) If a player subsequently takes part in any match after cancellation then it will be considered a penalty forfeit. (iv) Refer to Playing Regulations Policy clause
5 2.17 In addition to a BHSNA representative player aged 12 years to 15 years playing with their club team in the winter competition, the BHSNA representative teams in each age group, may play in a division that is determined by the appropriate graders without the application of the current representative rule or age restrictions, until the conclusion of State Age. These teams will be invitational only and accrue no points and the opposition teams will accrue points equivalent to a bye. Goals for are entered but not those scored against When registering teams in ages 7 years to 15 years there must be a minimum of 4 players turning that age in the year of play, registered and playing in the team, i.e. a 12C team must have a minimum of 4 players turning 12 years in the year of play When registering teams in the 17 and under and 21 and under divisions, there must be a minimum of four players turning that age in the year of play (16-17 and respectively), registered and playing in the team When registering team in the O/35 divisions there must be no more than 2 under age players registered into the team. Underage players must be no younger than 30 years of age. 3 DE-REGISTRATIONS De-registrations are available where players do not take part in any game through no fault of their own. 3.1 Should a registered player for any reason be de-registered, the registration fee will not be transferred to offset the fees of another player. 3.2 Where players are de-registered on Late Registration and De-registration night or round 1, a refund, which will be minus the NNSW component, will be available to clubs after round 3. When submitting requests for players de-registering after round 1, a refund will be available the following week. All player refund requests will be less the Netball NSW component in accordance with Point 5.4 of the Netball NSW Affiliation and Membership Policy V13 ( Affiliation-and-Membership-Policy-V13.pdf ) Clubs must apply for all de-registrations by completing the De-Registration Form and attaching a letter detailing the reasons for the de-registration prior to a refund being issued. 3.3 No player can be de-registered after having played any competition games, except in extenuating circumstances, at the discretion of BHSNA Registrars and BHSNA Executive. No refund of fees will be applicable. 3.4 Once players are de-registered, they are deemed to have withdrawn from the competition, and therefore cannot be re-registered with BHSNA during that competition, except in extenuating circumstances, at the discretion of BHSNA Registrars and BHSNA Executive. 3.5 Teams withdrawing from the competition after the Final Grading is complete, will not be eligible for de-registration refunds and will incur a fine as per the Fees and Fines Policy. 5
6 4 PHOTO IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM 4.1 Identification cards with photographs attached are to be completed by Club Registrars. Yellow identification cards are for players in the 7 8, 9, 10 and 11 years divisions. Green identification cards are for 12 years and above. 4.2 Once one side has been completed a new photograph is required on the reverse side before being officially stamped. 4.3 Colour passport size head and shoulders photographs only are acceptable. 4.4 Identification cards are transferable between clubs and are used each winter competition until fully completed, at which time a new card is issued by Club Registrars. 4.5 No player is permitted to possess more than one current identification card. 4.6 The player s Registration number is to be recorded on their Identification Card. 4.8 Photo Identification cards are stamped on dates as set for clubs at the November Council Meeting in the BHSNA calendar. 5 COMPETITION DIVISIONS 5.1 The competition will be conducted in the following divisions with the minimum age restricted to children turning 7 years in the year of play. NetSetGO Junior Senior Non-competitive - 7 years, 8 years, 9 years Competitive - 10 years 11 years, 12 years, 13 years, 14 years, 15 years & 17years and Under 21years and Under, Opens and Masters ***** 6
