Pickme lost its off fore plate during the running of the race. D Lane (North Lodge) explained that whilst the gelding led at its last start, it does mix its racing pattern and was given no specific instructions tonight and placed his mount where comfortable in the early stages and therefore got further back than it did at its last start when it led. C Schofield (Why Not (GER)) could offer no real excuses, other than the gelding failed to run out the distance of today s event. A post race veterinary examination of Why Not (GER) failed to reveal any abnormal findings and a swab sample was taken for analysis. Race 2 TRIFORCE SUBZERO CHALLENGE HEAT 2-1500 metres: Consoling Amy was slow to begin. D Adam (Stanzior) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a), the careless riding being that approaching the first turn near the 1200m, he permitted his mount to shift in leaving insufficient room for two runners to his inside resulting in Auld Burns (GB) being taken in across the running of Purettan which was checked severely. race meetings (three metropolitan, nine provincial).
