The Shorebirds now sit atop the SAL Northern Division standings at 4-1 with Kannapolis and Greensboro each a game back at 3-2. Kannapolis went 14-7 against Delmarva last year. Intimidating Starter: The Intimidators opening day starter is back on the bump for the second run through the rotation. Jaye, 21, faced the Shorebirds four times in 2012, going 1-1 with a 5.03 ERA against them. He picked up a win in over the BlueClaws in the season opener, allowing two runs on four hits over 5.0 innings. The White Sox traded for Jaye in January 2012, acquiring him along with fellow prospect P Daniel Webb for big league pitcher Jason Frasor. Dealing for Delmarva: Brady Wager, 22, was selected by the Orioles in the ninth round of the June 2012 draft and went 0-4 with a 4.72 ERA in 12 games (nine starts) in his professional debut between the GCL Orioles and Short-Season Aberdeen. The former Grand Canyon University product is making his first start of the year for Delmarva. About Last Night: Delmarva jumped on Intimidators starter Jefferson Olacio early, chasing him from the game in the first inning and tagging him for five runs on three hits en route to a 6-4 win. Kannapolis trailed most of the game, but pulled within two in the ninth inning thanks to a Kale Kiser three-run triple.
