2. Executive summary 2.1 Key findings The schl is highly valued by the cmmunity. Parents and members f the wider cmmunity speak highly f the schl and the educatinal service prvided. Warm and trusting relatinships exist acrss the schl. The schl s peratins are guided by its tw mantras: Every Child Matters Every Day and All Students Can Be High Achievers. Teaching staff and teacher aides wrk well tgether t ensure the best learning utcmes fr their students. Teacher aides express an interest in being bserved and receiving feedback t help imprve their service t students. The schl reflects the belief that, althugh students are at different stages in their learning and may be prgressing at different rates, all students are capable f learning successfully if mtivated and given apprpriate learning pprtunities and necessary supprt. Curriculum planning cnversatins tend t be fcused n grups f students rather than individual learning needs. Crss-curricular pririties and lcal cntext are yet t be established. The schl leadership team views reliable and timely student data as essential t the effective leadership f the schl. The principal, master teacher and Head f Curriculum (HOC) regularly engage all teachers in data cnversatins. The master teacher cmpletes a significant amunt f mathematics data analysis. Sme teachers express a desire t enhance their wn data literacy skills in rder t better meet the needs f each f their students. The schl budget has been prepared by the principal and Business Service Manager (BSM) based n histrical precedent and identified needs. Sme teaching staff expend significant persnal funds n classrms resurces. Teachers and ther staff members knwledge and understanding f the schl s financial psitin and funding allcatins are as yet limited. There are cmputers in every classrm and the schl s multi-media centre. Best use is nt yet being made f digital technlgies acrss the schl. The schl reprts that there are challenges assciated with cnnectivity and assciated infrastructure. Students express a desire t make greater use f these resurces in their learning activities. 4
There are strng links between Mura State Schl and Mura State High Schl. Staff frm Mura State High Schl reprt that the cnsistency f pedaggy is a key enabler in the transitin f students t the secndary schl setting 5

Refine curriculum planning delivery t address the learning needs and styles f individual students. Review curriculum rganisatin with respect t rigur, crss-curricula pririties and the lcal cntext. Frmalise a whle-schl apprach t ensure all teachers and teacher aides receive regular feedback n their teaching perfrmance. Develp, publish and implement a transparent prcess fr future schl budgets, including detailed plans f key expenditure areas, linked t the schl s Explicit Imprvement Agenda (EIA). 6
