BOOM BOOM MANCINI: Trey Mancini hit a pinch-hit, game-tying two-run home run in the ninth inning on Wednesday and then slugged a three-run walk-off homer in the 11 th inning of the 9 6 win over the Pirates...According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Mancini is just the second player in the Expansion Era (since 1961) to hit a ninth-inning, game-tying home run as a pinch hitter and then hit a walk-off home run in extra innings...he joins Brian McCann, who did so for Atlanta on May 17, 2011 against Houston...Also according to the Elias Sports Bureau, Mancini became the third player in the Expansion Era to drive in at least five runs in a game in which he did not enter until the ninth inning or later...he joins Harold Baines, who did so for the Orioles on May 4, 1999, and Adam LaRoche, who did so for the Nationals on September 3, CLUTCH IN A PINCH: According to STATS, LLC., on Wednesday, Trey Mancini became the second player in Orioles history (since 1954) to hit a game-tying home run in the ninth inning or later and then hit a walk-off home run in the same game, joining Mike Young, who did so on May 28, 1987 against the Angels...Mancini also became the first player in Orioles history to hit a pinch-hit home run in the ninth inning or later and then another home run in the same game...he became the third player in Orioles history to hit a home run in the ninth inning and homer again in extra-innings of the same game...he joins Boog Powell, who did so on August 15, 1966 against Boston, and Eddie Murray, who did so on September 14, 1980 against Toronto.
