THE TWINS: In 2018, the Twins will open with a three-game four-day series at Baltimore today through Sunday prior to traveling to Pittsburgh for two games in three days at PNC Park...today marks the fifth time in Twins history (since 1961) that they open a season against Baltimore (1967, 2007, 2012 and 2016)...for Interleague Play, they play the NL Central: Pittsburgh (home and road) next week and mid-august, Cincinnati in late April, St. Louis (home and road) in mid-may, Chicago-NL in late July, and Milwaukee in mid-may and early July...additionally, they will travel to Puerto Rico for two games against Cleveland (home games) from April WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE: The Twins appeared in the postseason in 2017 for the first time since 2010 as they played in the AL Wild Card game on October 3 at Yankee Stadium, losing by a score of the 26-win improvement from 2016 (59) to 2017 (85) was the biggest in team history...it marked the 12th time in club history to reach the postseason, first as wild card.
