Andrew to contact Tigers for rental of PAWS for T-Ball Day. Can only get Paws for 2 hours so will try for 11:00 1:00 pm. T-Ball practices to begin May 12. T-Ball uniforms are still being worked on at KV Sports. First Merit has Popsicle truck and wants to use it for SLJL events, Will ask them to participate on T-Ball Day and All Star weekend. Mays team wanting to film team for Spartan Food commercial. Must get signatures on waiver from each parent of team. Players can t wear hats with logo s. SLEHS Softball and Baseball will be playing a game against each other on May 23 to benefit Systic Fibrosis. 2 Equipment First Merit BT $30, $ First Merit GT $7, $3, sets of safety bases are needed, Board approved $ for them. Deb will also order 4 more rakes to complete tools needed for fields this year. Deb reported she will not be placing order with KV Sports until uniforms are completed. Fields & Scheduling Field improvements at School Fields for 2014; 1. Drainage at Salem & Brummer (Paul to Check) 2. Fix infield/outfield lip at Millennium, Salem, & Hardy (Paul to Check) 3. Change bleachers, cement in dugouts, and irrigation at McHattie. ( Waiting on City) 4. Talked to Parks & Rec Board and may have matching funds for Pavilion Project at Volunteer. (Discuss in Spring 2014) 5. Working with High School softball Boosters to get improvements to Softball Fields. 6. SLEHS Boy s would like to get backstop extended to Dug Out full height to avoid losing foul balls in pond. 7. Privacy fence around dirt pile at Volunteer (Waiting on City) 8. Move dugout fences out from dugouts at 9 Mile field. Looking for volunteers to head up these projects. Dean starting to get quotes for upgrade of backstop at 9 Mile field. First quote came in with Galvanized at $16,150. Black coated wire at $18,605. Dean hopes to have another quote by next board meeting. Dean will be getting contracts completed for school fields and also Atchison Park. Guido is also obtaining quotes for elementary schools rework. Lightning Landscape to quote rework of Kent Lake and Brummer. Need them to also quote Salem. Will not schedule any games for May for Memorial Day, and July 2 6 for 4 th of July. Deb needs Minors & Majors games for May 22 rescheduled. Deb will be organizing field prep schedule and present to Board for approval.

3 All Star Rain causing cancellations all ready. Move rainouts to June, May is loaded. Porta John needed at McHattie West. Items to do for next year s All Star Weekend; 1. Get new Publisher Program to make All Star Program for Charge more for Personal ads in program. 3. Make sure Trustee s provide proper info to coaches and all stars to make check in go smoother. 4. Accuracy Skill Event needs to have larger target net. 5. Remove 2 hour time limit on games and allow all games to go 7 innings. 6. Make sure host team cuts outfield grass before first session. 7. Find volunteer to donate time and their sound system to improve the introductions and speeches for All Star weekend. Eric Steffes is 12U coach that will be host team for 2014 All Star Weekend. Registration/Website Trophies Items for next registration: 1. Need Head Coaches names week before draft 2. Need volunteer to work with Laura and Deb on next registration in order for Laura and Deb to step down. Board approved $6, for trophies below. Participation Trophies for; T-Ball, GCP, BCP, Kaline Medals for; Minors, Mays, Reese No Medals for; Majors, Koufax, Colt Regular Season Champion Trophies for; Minors, Majors, Mays, Reese, Koufax

4 Playoff Runner up & Champion; Minors, Majors, Mays, Reese, Koufax T-Ball Day Rules Order Bounce Houses, Face Painter, Balloon Guy, Photographer, PAWs and Guido/Food. Mays Division was to tryout batters starting with 1 & 1 count for first 2 weeks of season. This was to promote swinging of the bat and also trying to get complete games in instead of 3-4 inning ballgames. After one night Mays Trustee Pat Stack made complaint that this will not work and that all of the coaches were complaining all ready. Motion was made to disband rule change and vote assed it. Rule book to be changed immediately. Pitching Machine trial, Boy s Lance Shipman stated it was working better than he thought it would and will continue to try it out. Girl s Sean O Neil stated he was against it from the beginning and will not use it and passed on to Bryan Mackey. Brian will use in practice and provide feedback.
