I believe that it is designed for boats. (A side note: it should not be sprayed because of the toxicity of airborne droplets. However it brushes on very well.) We use it to prime everything: wood and metal. As a two-part paint, it is normally supposed to be used quickly after the two parts are mixed. However, if it is kept in a freezer, the mixed paint will remain useable for a month or more. I have kept it in our freezer in a screw top glass jar with a piece of plastic food wrap between the lid and the jar top to make it easy to open. Whether I need a little or a lot, I simply get it out and let it warm up a bit, use what I need and pop it back into the freezer.
