1 THE CORPORATONOF THETOWNSHPOF MADAWASKAVALLEY BY-LAW NUMBER Being a By-Law to provide for the naming and renaming of the highways streets roads and private roads within the Township of Madawaska Valley. WHEREAS Section 48 6() and (2) ofthe MunicipaAct c. 25 as amended authorizes the Councils of local municipalities to pass By-laws giving names to or changing the names of highways streets roads and private roads and for affixing the names at the corners thereof on public or private property; AND WHEREAS Section 48 ofthe MunicipalAct 200 $ c. 25 as amended provides that before a Bylawis passed to change the name of a highway street road or private road a municipality shall give Public Notice of its intention to pass the ByLaw; AND WHEREASthe Council ofthe Corporation ofthe Township of Madawaska Valley has caused a notice ofthe proposed Bylawto be published in the local newspaper on September 2"d205 and at a meeting held on September 8"205 has heard any person who claims to be adversely affected by the Bylaw. NOW THEREFORE the Council ofthe Corporation as follows: of the Township of Madawaska Valley hereby enacts Short Title. This Bylawmay be cited as the Road Naming By- aw of the Corporation of the Township of Madawaska Valley. Naming of Highways Streets Roads and Private Roads 2. Allhighways streets roads and private roads in the municipality shall be named andorknown according to Schedule "A" attached to this Bylawand as illustrated on Schedule "B and "B-". to "B-5" attached hereto. 3. Schedules "A and "B "B-" to "B-5"attached hereto form part of this Bylaw. 4. The municipality is hereby authorized to affix street name signs at the corner of every highway street road and private road on public or private property subject to thejurisdictions and the ; requirements of the County or the Ministry of Transportation. 5. Allroad name signs at intersections shall include the approved road name. Where new signs are to be erected the sign shall include the approved road name and the direction and sequencing of property numbering. 6. Should any section clause or provision in this Bylawhold to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction the remainder of this Bylawshall not be affected. 7. Any By awsor parts of By-laws inconsistent with this Bylawor names of streets in registered plans inconsistent with this Bylaware hereby deemed repealed. 8. That this Bylawhereby replaces prior Official Road Name ByLawsfor the municipality and shall come into force and effect on the date of passing. READ A FRST AND SECOND TME THS 8thDAY OF September 205.
