The organizing committee of the GYM TROOPER CLASSIC and 7 th WBPF International Austrian Championships 2016 wishes to extend a warm welcome to participate in these Championships. 2 2 hosted by ABPF (WBPF Austria) in the beautiful city of Vienna/Austria. After the 6 th WBPF International Austria Cup on 7 th November 2015 and the 6th Int. Austrian Championships on 16 th May, 2015 this is now the 6 th International WBPF-Austria event being conducted and organized at Lugner City Mall by ABPF (WBPF Austria) under the leadership of President Axel Bauer. Richard Lugner, the owner of Lugner City Mall, is a world famous celebrity and strong supporter of bodybuilding and physique sports in Austria. At Lugner City Mall you can find all kind of shops, a modern, fully equipped gym (McFIT), a cinema and entertainment complex as well as Hotel Atlantis, a four star Hotel that is located in the same building. You can be sure that during your visit the organizers will do their utmost best to make your stay comfortable, memorable and entertaining and make these Championships a great success. 3 3 INFORMATION ABOUT THE REPUBLIC OF AUSTRIA: Austria is a land locked country in Central Europe. The alpine country boarders in the north of Germany and Czech, in the east to Slovakia and Hungary, in the south to Slovenia and Italy and in the west to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Austria officially is a land locked country of roughly 8.3 million people in Central Europe. The territory of Austria covers square kilometres. The majority of the population speaks German, which is also the Country s official language. Most Austrians also speak English. The form of government is since the constitution of 1920 those of federal organised parliamentary republic which exists since 1922 of 9 sub countries; one of it is the capital city, Vienna. The state is since 1955 a member of the United Nations and since 1995 part of the European Union. The capital city Vienna has 2.2 million inhabitants. In Vienna are found buildings of all styles of architecture, from the roman Ruprecht s church about the gothic Stephansdom, the baroque Karls Church, the highly baroque Jesuits church and the constructions of the classic season up to the modern age. Never the less, particularly the architecture of the early days which demonstrate the former imperial city Vienna like from downpour is to be emphasised. Tourist hotspots in Vienna are the Ringstraße where you can find such famous buildings as the houses of parliament, the Vienna opera house, the Burgtheater, the Vienna University, the Rathaus (municipality of Vienna) and many five stars hotels like the famous hotel Imperial, the Saint Stephan s cathedral is located in the centre of the first district, where you can also find good shopping opportunities galleries and boutique hotels. VENUE SITE: The Lugner City is a shopping mall and office building located directly on the so called Gürtel in the 15th district. The 7th International Austrian Championships and GYM TROOPER CLASSIC will take place at the Showbühne located in the centre of Lugner City Mall, the stage can be viewed from all floors so that a maximum visibility from all sides is granted. 8 8 The organizing committee of the 7th International Austrian Championships and GYM TROOPER CLASSIC has made a special arrangement with the official hotel (Hotel Kaffeemühle) to grant corporate rates to participants (delegates/athletes/supporters/media personal) the room rates amount to around 90,00 for the double room (2 persons) and 68,00 for the single room including breakfast and wlan depending on the time of the actual booking and availibility. The rooms can be booked directly at the hotel using the code word Austrian Championships. Hotel/Hostel A & O Wien Stadthalle can be booked the cheapest online only for around 30,00 per person/night. There are many more nice hotels available near the venue site too, but it is recommended to make hotel bookings as early as possible to get good rates. WEIGH In/REGISTRATION: The weigh-in/registration takes place on 13 th may :00-18:00 hours and on 14 th may :00 12:30 hours at Showbühne Lugner city mall. REGISTRATION FEE: There is a registration fee of 30,00 per athlete that has to be paid upon registration/ weigh-in in cash to the organizing committee. Competitors who want to compete in more than one age category (junior/senior/masters age categories participating in more than one discipline is not allowed) have to pay the registration fee only once. The registration fee includes a meal of choice (athletes food or regular food) at Jacky s restaurant located on the 3 rd floor of the entertainment complex at Lugner city mall) and drink voucher. Trophies and Medals, cash awards and other prizes: The top 3 of each category receive a trophy and a medal (gold, silver, bronze) respective of their final placing; All Participants receive a diploma (certificate of participation); cash and other prizes are subject to further announcement. TANNING; MAKU-UP AND STYLING SERVICES: Will be provided by TOP TAN Austria team (Oliver Kovacs) as per price-list published at the venue site upon arrival; the organizing committee recommends to use the services of top tan for the best possible appearance on the stage; for women s physique competitors air-brush tan is obligatory, no dream tan allowed. APPLICABLE COMPETITION RULES: COMPETITION ATTIRE & STAGE PRESENTATION FOR ATHLETES Competition Attire for Athletes: The competition attire must meet the following guide lines: 1. Men s Bodybuilding competitors

9 9 will wear one-coloured opaque posing trunks of a solid, non-distracting colour which are clean and decent. The back area of the trunk must cover at least 50 % of the gluteus maximus, the front of the trunk must be covered completely, no padding allowed anywhere in the trunk; the side of the trunk must measure at least 1 cm. Pulling and shifting of the trunk by the competitor to reveal a larger part of the front, side or rear of the body is not allowed; the competitor has to ensure that the trunk stays in place during his entire performance and does not slip inside the gluteus muscles to reveal a greater part of that area. Competitors will not wear footwear, glasses (Except if it is justified by the athlete's health condition.), watches, bangles, necklaces, earrings, piercings or whatsoever other jewellery/accessories except for a wedding ring. Props including hats, caps, masks etc. are prohibited. The use of implants whether permanent by cosmetic surgery or temporarily by fluid injection is not allowed and can lead to disqualification. Body-colouring is allowed but the athlete has to make sure that the colour stays on the body and does not come off simply by wiping; air-brush tanning and cabin tanning may be used, sparkles, glitter, shiny metallic pearls or any other unnatural looking enhancements of the body colour are prohibited. Body colouring that stains the competition attire is prohibited. 2. Men s Athletic Physique Competitors will wear opaque tights/posing trunks of a solid, non-distracting material with the colour of the posing trunk is left to the discretion of the competitor which are clean and decent during the comparisons (elimination, prejudging and finals). No footwear is allowed. The back area of the tights/posing trunks must cover 100 % of the gluteus maximus, the front of the trunk must be covered completely, no padding allowed anywhere in the trunk; the side of the trunk/tights/gymnastic shorts must measure at least 15 (fifteen) cm. Pulling and shifting of the trunk/tights by the competitor to reveal a larger part of the front, side or rear of the body is not allowed; the competitor has to ensure that the trunk stays in place during his entire performance and does not slip inside the gluteus muscles to reveal a greater part of that area. 3. Men s Sport Physique competitors will wear board shorts that reach from the lower abdominal area down to just above the knee. Viewed from the back the board shorts have to cover all of the gluteal area down to just above the knee area. The material, texture and colour of the board shorts are at the discretion of the competitor. Foot-wear and jewellery are not allowed. Tight fitting lycra shorts are prohibited. Competitors will not wear footwear, glasses (Except if it is justified by the athlete's health condition.), watches, bangles, necklaces, earrings, piercings or whatsoever other jewellery/accessories except for a wedding ring. Props including hats, caps, masks etc. are prohibited. The use of implants whether permanent by cosmetic surgery or temporarily by fluid injection is not allowed and can lead to disqualification. Women s Bodybuilding competitors will wear one-coloured and decorated opaque two-piece bikini of a solid, non-distracting colour which must conform to accepted standards of taste and decency. The bikini will reveal the abdominal muscles as well as the lower back muscles. The bikini bottom must cover at least 50% of the buttocks. Athletes have to be bare foot, no foot-wear allowed. The back area of the trunk must cover at least 50 % of the gluteus maximus, the front of the trunk must be covered completely, no padding allowed anywhere in the trunk; the side of the trunk must measure at least 1 cm. Pulling and shifting of the trunk by the competitor to reveal a larger part of the front, side or rear of the body is not allowed; the competitor has to ensure that the trunk and bikini top stays in place during her entire performance and the bikini bottom does not slip inside the gluteus muscles to reveal a greater part of that area. Padding inside the bikini top is allowed to achieve a more natural feminine look. Breast implants are allowed according to accepted standards of taste and decency. Competitors will not wear footwear, glasses (Except if it is justified by the athlete's health condition.), watches, bangles, necklaces, earrings, piercings or whatsoever other jewellery/accessories except for a wedding ring. The hair may be styled, make-up can be worn as well; body-colouring is allowed but the athlete has to make sure that the colour stays on the body and does not come off simply by wiping; air-brush tanning and cabin tanning may be used, sparkles, glitter, shiny metallic pearls or any other unnatural looking enhancements of the body colour is prohibited. Body colouring that stains the competition attire is prohibited. 5. Women s Athletic Physique competitors will wear opaque two piece bikini during all rounds (elimination, prejudging, finals) the colour, fabric, texture and style of the bikini is up to the discretion of the competitor and high heels with a sole thickness of not more than 1 cm and the heels (stiletto) height of not more than 10 cm; platform shoes are prohibited. The back area of the bikini bottom must cover at least 50 % of the gluteus maximus, the front side of the trunk must cover the front side of the groin area completely, no padding allowed anywhere in the bikini bottom; the side of the bikini bottom must measure at least one cm. Bikinis that appear to small or otherwise look indecent are prohibited. In any event the chief official or a delegated representative will have the right to determine if a competitor s attire meets the aforementioned guidelines and demand from him to change any attire that is not in conformity with these guidelines and if he fails to change the attire to disqualify him from the event. Each athlete should appear in his/her competition attire at the time of weigh in/ registration for its official checking. 8. In any event a Standing Committee will be formed in light of the fact, that it is increasingly difficult in women s categories for the athletes to register in the right disciplines at the weigh in / registration. The Standing Committee will have the authority to make a final and binding decision if it finds, that an athlete wishes to register in a discipline / category she does not fit into according to the WBPF rules book. The Standing Committee will check the degree of muscularity and definition of a particular athlete exceeds and in the event that level exceeds the level of the current standard set forth for this discipline / category, has the right to move the athlete to the correct discipline/category, or, when the respective national federation, this athlete belongs to, has already exhausted the maximum allowable number of competitors for this category, to disqualify the athlete from the competition. Stage presentation : The following points will apply during the competitor s stage presentation: 1. Competitors will not chew gum or consume food and/or drinks while onstage. 2. The use of props is prohibited unless it is expressly allowed under section The term prop means an object, device or item, excluding competition attire, that is transported onstage before a routine and offstage after a routine by a competitor and/or other person or persons. 3. Competitors have to adhere to all instructions made by the onstage expediters and on stage marshals; they are not allowed to enter or leave the stage prematurely without the consent of the chief onstage expediter. 4. Competitors have to maintain good sportsmanship at all time, pushing, shoving, elbowing and other physical attacks against other competitors or onstage expediters, contesting instructions made by onstage expediters or expressing disagreement with results pertaining to comparisons being called or placings being given are forbidden and can lead to disqualification.

12 12 5. In particular during the announcement of results and the award presentation the competitor will by no means express disagreement with his/her or other competitors placings. 6. Competitors have to ensure that they do not stain the stage and its surroundings, especially carpets and curtains with body colour or leave hazardous materials or items on the stage that can be harmful to other competitors during or after their performance. 7. Competitors will abstain from shouting, laughing, grimacing and gesticulating while on stage, even talking to other competitors should be a avoided as much as possible; the athletes shall focus on their performance bearing in mind that they are under constant observation by the event officials, audience and cameras. Even when not included in a comparison competitors have to pay attention to keep an athletic posture and friendly face. 14 14 POSING MUSIC: All posing music must be on an audio CD encased in a plastic protective case with the competitor s name affixed upon the case of the CD, and the music properly cued at the beginning of the song title. The use of profane, vulgar and offensive language is strictly prohibited in the posing music. Posing music must be 60 seconds for men s and women s bodybuilding, men s athletic physique and 90 seconds for men s and women s fitness physique. JUDGES: All international WBPF judges will be considered for judging. National federations that wish to bring a judge are welcome provided the judge carries an international judges card and is appropriately dressed in the official WBPF uniform ( grey suite, white shirt, official tie).
