1 Rukmini Devi Public School, Rohini Class: Pre-Primary Session: Note: Apart from the syllabi, this booklet contains a tentative programme of activities and functions along with the school almanac. A) GENERAL INFORMATION The all round development of the child involves both the scholastic and the non-scholastic areas of pupil growth. Thus, we try to inculcate in our children, the habits of regular study, industry, discipline, sense of responsibility, co-operation, community service and civic consciousness to face challenges. B) EVALUATION There will be a continuous and comprehensive evaluation which will be spread over the year. The students will be evaluated and awarded grades subject wise. It would be summarized in the month of September (First week), December (First week) and March (Third week). Accordingly, the report would be sent to the parents for their information. The assessment of participation in co-curricular activities and other traits like Personality Development, Health etc. will be carried out round the year and reported in the month of September, December and March. One day they were grazing at different sides of a stream. By chance, they had to cross a narrow bridge. Each one of them wished to cross the bridge first. So they started fighting with each other. The crow searched for water everywhere. kaa, kaa, kaa.. At last, he saw a pot with very little water in it. He put his beak inside. But he couyld not reach down the water. The crow thought of a plan. He picked some pebbles and dropped them in to the pot one by one. The water level roze. The crow drank the water and flew away happily. 11 Syllabus: INTRA CLASS ACTIVITIES Class: Pre- Primary Co-curricular activities are an intrinsic part of the educational endeavour in a school. Keeping in view the importance of co-curricular activities for all round development of the students, they are now complementary to curricular activities. These activities form the basic medium of learning for developing competence and making learning effective and everlasting for the child. Activities will be conducted every month on Fridays.
