Director s Notes CustomGuide personalized interactive computer training No one becomes an NBA star by watching basketball on TV. Interactive training simulations recreate the experience of using software, giving users real hands-on experience. Noble County Public Library has purchased two seats for the amazing CustomGuide interactive learning online program to be available to the public. This program allows you to learn at your own pace, within your local NCPL branch or from the privacy of your home. Courses offered are specific functions or entire courses in Microsoft and Apple applications. Word, Excel, Windows, Quick Books, Outlook, Safari and even computer basics are some of the many courses offered. The great advantage to this program is it doesn t just ask if you know how to do something - it asks you to actually do it to ensure understanding. Levels of instruction are from beginner to advanced, so no matter your current skill level, CustomGuide will help you progress. Since there are only two seats only two people can access CustomGuide at the same time on our license. I can register several people for the program but if you can t get on the site it is only because others are currently using the two seats. Waiting and logging in at a later time or day will get you on site. Those who are interested in this service and would like to be registered should contact me directly at Sandy Employees will be attending a morning in-service so NCPL branches will open at 1:00pm Friday, October 5.
