Weekend program registration closes at 12:00 on the prior Friday. December Fly Tying for Fly Fishing Tuesday, Dec. 4 from 7:00-8:30pm Ages: 8 and over (minors must be acc. by an adult) Talented enthusiasts from a local fly fishing group provide instruction and guidance on popular fly patterns to interested people of all experience levels. Materials and equipment/tools are provided for those who do not have their own. Must pre-register! Preschool Nature Series December Tuesdays from 10:00-11:00am Dec. 4: Tracks and Traces Dec.. 18: Solstice Celebration Ages: 2-5 w/adult /member; $6/member sibling; $10/non-member per date Bring your preschooler to Eden Mill to discover the wonder of nature! Programs will include nature games and activities, story, craft and a hike exploring the landscape. Must pre-register! 2 December Child & Adult Paint Afternoon Christmas Tree Friday, December 7 from 3:00-5:00pm Ages: 6-12 with adult Fee: $45/member pair or $50/non-member pair Create a painting on canvas to learn how to use tools such as acrylic paints, canvas, brushes, as well as painting techniques. Child and adult will each complete a 14 x 18 acrylic painting on canvas with instruction provided throughout the event. Must pre-register! Birds in Your Backyard Sunday, Dec. 16 from 1:00-2:30pm Ages: 6 and over (minors must be acc. by a participating adult) Identify the birds feasting on the feeders in your backyard all winter long. We will make a suet bird feeder for you to take home to attract more of these winter inhabitants to your backyard! Please BYOM (bring your own mug) to use for your craft! Must pre-register! Winter Wildlife Hike Saturday, January 12 from 10:00-11:30am All ages; minors must be acc. by a participating adult Who and what is stirring in the woods at Eden Mill? The whole family can join us for a wander through the woods to explore the park habitats in winter and search for signs of activity. Please dress according to the weather!

We will learn the folklore and traditions and make a top hat to wear on the big day. Must pre-register by Jan. 19! February JR Scientist: Homemade Ice Cream Friday, Feb. 1 at 4:30pm Ages: 5-14 Fee: $4 Learn about the freezing temperature of water as we experiment with making homemade ice cream. Must pre-register by Jan. 18! Track and Trails Thursday, Feb. 7 at 10:30am Join us on a short hike as we search for some animal tracks and signs around the park. Must pre-register 24 hours in advance!

Nature s Sweet Treat Thursday, Feb. 21 at 10:30 Maple Syrup, to some, is liquid gold. Join us as we learn how maple syrup is harvested and made, what the weather has to do with its production, and how to make a sweet winter treat. Must pre-register 24 hours in advance!
