Christmas in the Village will be held in the historic Opera House Room of the Noble County Library in Cromwell, Saturday, December 8 from 9am to 4pm and Sunday, December 9 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The show and sale are being co-sponsored by the Noble County Public Library and the Cromwell Business Association. Friends and local artists Golden Seaton and Gail Knafel have invited more than 30 highlyskilled artists and crafters to showcase their creations. Artists and crafters themselves, Knafel and Seaton have invited participants they know and admire from craft C H R I S T M A S in the Village shows they attend throughout the year. Also, their efforts are to function as an extension of a year-long promotion of the town of Cromwell. At least five antique dealers will be featured at the show with furniture and vintage collectibles. Also on display and for sale will be hand-made jewelry, pillows, glass fusion items, yard art, hand-painted windows, bird houses, hand-crafted greeting cards, Christmas décor and repurposed items. Rather than booths, items will be displayed creatively in antique cupboards, chests, trunks throughout the upstairs for a store feel. Also offered will be a Christmas tea, cookies as well as pictures with Santa. Everyone will have a chance at door prizes. Director s Notes I would like to see the following changes in the library's hours for 2013: For the convenience of our patrons, NCPL Central will open at 9am instead of 10am on Fridays beginning Friday, November 2. All Noble County Public Library branches are considering adjusting hours at the beginning of We would welcome suggestions from patrons about where library hours would benefit them.
