If not, please do so as soon as possible! We need all the help we can get. We also need homemade baked goods to sell at the dessert table so put your baking skills to good use and help raise money for your club! In May we had a very successful fundraiser for a local musician who has cancer. We raised over $4, for our club! A huge thank you goes out to Paul Scherer (who almost sacrificed a toe for the event), Chris Costello, Lisa Montini, Kelly Hollis, John Danik, Karen Chute, Chrissy Meslener, and Eric Boggs who all worked together with me and the Hey Baby Band to make the event a success. We had our Disco Dance fundraiser that was also successful and a lot of fun. Lisa Montini did an awesome job decorating and Chris Laubis made a great DJ! Kathy and Paul Scherer were the bartenders for the evening and Ray Procious, Fred Sprado and Frank Schusteritch were on hand to help out where needed. A very big thank you to everyone who donated all of the delicious food. Our annual Spring Dance was also a big success. Marianne Kapfer made a delicious schnitzle dinner and Paul Geppert and Al Ahrens helped her in the kitchen. Linda Geppert, Kathy Scherer and Jessica Scherer were the servers for the evening and Monika Wolf worked at the door. The Mountain Tops did a fine job and there was a lot of great dancing, laughter and good times. Please mark your calendars for the Fall Dance on October 23 rd.. With dinner by the Bucks and entertainment by Mario and Joe, this dance is sure to be a great event! Between the club events and the rentals, our club had what could possibly be the best income generating month we have ever had! Come to the June meeting to hear how much our club made (hint: it is close to what we have made at past Sommerfest events!!!!), and bring a dish to share for our pot luck dinner. The board meetings will be returning to the first Monday of the month beginning on June 7 th. ALSO, please get back to Anna Schramek with your list of 5 people who you would like to invite to the art auction asap!!! Tschüs! 2 UPCOMING CLUB EVENTS Make your favorite dish to feed 4-6 people and get in for free, or pay $8 for members and $10 for guests. Doors open at 6:30, dinner at 7pm. Kathy Scherer will coordinate the food. Call or her with what you will be bringing (Dessert will be provided) The World Cup Soccer Games Are Almost Here! Join us on Friday, June 4 th at 7pm as we pick the teams for our World Cup Soccer Pool! We will also be having a Wurst Night BBQ that same evening. Come and sample some of Germany s finest Wurst s and other goodies! (Food is free for members and soccer pool participants; Guest donation is $2.00 per person) If you have any questions or would like to donate a food dish contact Lisa Montini at Items should be new in the box or package (except homemade items like Margo s beautiful afghans:) Items we could use include but are not limited to: German themed items (i.e. steins, books, etc...) ART AUCTION Saturday, October 2 nd, 2010 This will be a fun-filled evening with great opportunities to raise much needed funds for the general fund of the club. There will be something for everyone...every price range...beautifully framed art work...authenticated sports memorabilia...authenticated music memorabilia, etc. Start your holiday shopping early... Every member needs to supply us with a list of names and addresses ( s if possible) of people who they feel will attend and support the Art Auction. Everyone should be able to supply a list of at least 5 couples names per member...please your list to Anna ams8256@aol.com or bring the list to her at the next monthly meeting.
