1 Sports Bulletin 25 October 2017 Wednesday 25 October 2017 Sports Bulletin Sport Report and Key Dates A new sport has arrived at Hills Grammar with Girls AFL being introduced to the sport program this week. A squad of 14 girls have signed up for their first taste of Girls AFL. Our first game was on Monday against Rouse Hill. After a slow start, plus the fact we loaned the opposition three players, the girls really responded to the coaching at quarter time and there was a dramatic shift that saw the girls win the next three quarters. The girls were very excited to be playing and we are looking forward to the next five weeks of competition. If any girls are still interested, please Mr Jones. Training is on at Monday lunchtime and games are every Monday afternoon from 4-5pm. Our volleyball program continues to grow with four teams entered into the next state championships to be held at Homebush on November 12. We now have boys and girls teams entered into the under 15 and Under 16 age groups. If you are interested in joining the program, please contact Ms Gandhi for more information. We wish our triathlon team the best of luck this Friday with over 40 students entered this is one of the largest teams entered from Hills Grammar and we look forward to their results in next week s edition The badminton players are competing this Sunday at Abbotsleigh in their second competition for the year. 4 Free Female Football Clinic Hills Football is excited to announce a FREE Female Football Clinic with the help of the Western Sydney Wanderers W-League side, and Female Football Ambassador, Olivia Price. 5 Cricket Well done to the Under 8's who played another great game on Saturday. The boys had a convincing win scoring 3/84 and having the opposition 9/54. Well done to all the boys who are contributing to the team performance. Special mention to Alish Hirani (Year 1) and Saavar Bajaj (Year 3) who took three wickets each and Samar Sidhu (Year 1) who scored 20 runs to earn Player of the Match. All interested girls in Year 7-9 are asked to register for an upcoming skills and game day, where you will have the chance to play against other schools in the district. 9 Touch Football Under 7 Red Match Report Hills Grammar 3-7 Mighty Monkeys Man of the Match: Andrew Megalli Another game played at blistering pace with Lachlan Tanti scoring in the early moments of the first half, with a second try to follow thereafter. Ashton Schwebel sprinting to the line to score in the second half, kept the boys fighting right up to the very last seconds of the game, but the Mighty Monkeys took home the win. Estilo Sports will have representatives who will be presenting the itinerary options as well as final prices. This will be your opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the trip. On arrival, transfer to your centrally located hotel in Vancouver.
