2 BEARS OF JOY This Christmas, no kid should be left empty-handed. The SM Bears of Joy which started in 2011, is the annual Christmas charity project of SM Cares and Toy Kingdom. For every purchase of a pair, one goes to the customer and the other one is left for donation to charity. Collected toy bears are given to orphanages and children from indigent communities. To date, more than 60,000 bears have already been donated. The SM Bears of Joy are also available at select SM Supermalls nationwide. Filipino Christmas Traditions For most Filipino Families, Christmas is truly a special season. The most awaited time of the year reminding us of the warmth and joy of communing with our loved ones. Filipinos are known to mark the advent as early as September lasting until January. The Filipino s knack for festivities is legendary. The craftsmanship that goes in the designing and making our local Christmas displays is world-renowned, rivaling that of the Rockefeller Center in New York. Most importantly, we celebrate the season with utmost thanksgiving because it reminds us of the triumph of our faith and the love that goes beyond borders. It is also a most opportune time for most of us to share our blessings and enliven the spirit of giving.
