Due to the results of product examinations with the German Textile Research Center Northwest in Krefeld, YKK has been issued with the Oeko Tex standard 100 certificate of the product class 1 (products for babies and infants) in the lines of "zippers", hook&loop" and "cord stoppers. Oeko Tex standard 100 products are particularly strike friendly and examined according scientifically secured criteria and limited values for healthhazardous pollutant quantities. 3 Cosmolon YKK-Hook&loop fasteners YKK manufactures an extensive pallet of different hook&loop fasteners under the brand Cosmolon. From the woven standard Cosmolon tape up to extruded hook tapes and to moulded Cosmolon products, each Cosmolon article reflects the adherence to highest quality levels. Woven Cosmolon hook&loop fasteners Woven hook&loop fasteners are available in 24 standard colors, 8 standard widths of 16 to 150mm and on spools with 25m and 50m or in jumbo size. Special colors and widths are manufactured to customer's request. YKK s hook&loop fasteners are available in various equipment: self adhesive, inflammable and weldable. Woven Cosmolon is also offered in different variants: with brushed and unbrushed loops, mushroom tapes, soft hook tapes, polyester and flexible hook&loop fasteners, hook&loop combined in tape side etc.. According to a variety of ready-made articles, such as hook&loop fasteners, zipper tabs, individual stamp shapes, back-to-back products and many more can be supplied. 6 Plastic products YKK-Plastic products Utilizing ultramodern injection moulding technology, YKK created a wide spectrum of plastic components, specially for the workfashion market.. The plastic product assortment is extended constantly by the focused development of new products according to the changing needs of our customers. The extensive product range covers: - workwear buckles - buckles - cord stoppers - cord ends - holders - hooks - d-rings as well as a large number further articles such as shoulder pads, address map holders, federation clamps and individual plastic products for industrial applications. YKK`s plastic products are available in different sizes, more than 30 standard colors, transparent and colored-transparent. About 80% of the plastic product assortment consist of POM (polyacetale), a stable, hard resistant material with outstanding fatigue strength. Furthermore materials like PA (polyamides), PC (polycarbonate) and TPE (thermoplastic elastomers) are used. When desired the plastic products can be provided also with your logo or company name.
