See more information on the flyer in newsletter. It will be perfect to wear for the Dance-a-Thon spirit day!!!!! *Restaurant night is at The Landmark on November 15 th. It is an all-day event. You must present the flyer so the school will receive 25% of the proceeds. If you choose to purchase a gift card while you are there, that purchase will also go towards the school s proceeds. *Save the date: The Winter Hayride is on December 8 th at 6:30pm at Zimmerman s farm. The cost is $10.00 per person, which includes the hayride, a s mores pack, cookies, coffee, hot chocolate, apple cider donuts, and hot apple cider. The hayride will be one hour. See flyer for more details. The Babysitting/Storytime is on Dec 15 th from 6:30pm-8:30pm: Parents this is a great opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done while your kids have fun watching Christmas movies, listening to Christmas stories and eating snacks. More information to follow. Thank you for supporting our book fair last week. The fair cannot run without our many volunteers and the support of our school families. It was so great to see all the children picking out books to read!!!

4 Saint Michael s PTA presents the 9 Th annual Trunk-or-Treat Tuesday, October 31 12:30pm Families are asked to decorate their cars for Halloween and hand out treats as the students trunk-or-treat from car to car. The event will be held in the school parking lot. All other cars are asked to park in the street or the church parking lot: however, please do not block residential driveways. There are approximately 250 students in our school so please be sure to have enough treats. If you would like to participate in the Trunk-or Treat by decorating your car, please register by ing Jamie Meidel at jsquarcia@hotmail.com to reserve your spot. Include your name, phone number and address. If someone other than you is participating (for example a grandparent) provide their name as well. YOU MUST REGISTER IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS 10/26/17. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 decorated cars. 8 th graders, parents and faculty are invited to vote that day of the event. Look for the voting station. There are a limited number of spaces so they will be on first come first serve basis. We ask that you arrive between 10:30am and 11:30am. The lot will close at 12pm for the safety of the students. No one will be permitted to enter the lot after 12pm. We also cannot reserve spaces so if you would like to be next to another family, please plan to arrive together. 9 Autumn Auction Nov. 18, 2017 Every year each class creates a theme basket for our Autumn Auction event. Each family donates an item related to the theme or made a monetary contribution for items to be purchased. These baskets burst at the seams with gifts and are some of the most popular choices at the Auction. Once again, we are asking for your help in the creation of a class basket. Please send items into school marked with your child s name and grade. It is important to indicate name/grade so we can keep track of all items donated. If you are unsure of an item to purchase and feel more comfortable making a monetary donation, please feel free to do so and our committee will purchase the item to be placed in your child s class basket. We gladly accept any donations to help fill our baskets from companies that you may own or work for. This includes any products or services and all donations are tax deductible. All donations should be in by October 20, 2017 to receive a free N.U.T. day pass to be used on November 17, Pre-K It's a Girl's World (any item for girls ages 2-6) Pre-K It's a Boy's World (any item for boys ages 2-6) Kindergarten Arts & Crafts 1 st Grade Season's greetings-christmas items 2 nd Grade Family Movie Time (theater gift certificates, candy, pop-corn) 3 rd Grade Fall Time of Year (Autumn Items) 4 th Grade Sweet tooth (candies, cakes, cookies.etc.) 5 th Grades classes combined-----$5/per student to grow a money tree 6 th Grade Cup of Joe (Coffee, Filters, Mugs, Coffee Pot, Sweeteners, K-cups, Dunkin/Starbucks/Wawa gift cards) 7 th Grade Neat Ride (car wash certificates, car care products 8 th Grade Feeling Lucky? ($5/per student to creat a lottery ticket basket Tickets usually go on sale approximately four weeks before the event. This is a Fundraising Committee fundraiser and 50% of your ticket sales go towards your TSC goal. Also, families will earn fund-raising credit of 100% for items donated beyond the class basket items discussed above. Please-new items only with a receipt if possible. It is the responsibility of the family to ensure that Jim Beutel knows what they have donated and the value in kind amount. 11 HELP THE VICITMS OF HURRICANES HARVEY AND IRMA WORLD FOOD DAY, OCTOBER 16 TH, 2017 STUDENT COUNCIL HAS CREATED A DISASTER RELIEF CAMPAIGN FOR THOSE DEVASTATED BY THESE TWO HURRICANES. WE ARE ASKING ALL STUDENTS TO BRING IN QUARTERS TO BE COLLECTED IN THE CLASSROOMS. (ALL MONETARY DONATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED) STUDENTS COUNCIL WILL THEN SEND THE DONATIONS TO CROSS CATHOLIC OUTREACH WHO WILL SEND IT TO LEADERS IN THESE AREAS. 92.5% OF DONATIONS ARE USED SPECIFICALLY FOR RELIEF FOR THOSE IN NEED. ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILDREN TO MAYBE SACRIFICE SNACK A COUPLE DAYS A WEEK AND PUT THEIR QUARTERS IN THE CLASSROOM COLLECTION. EVERY LAST PENNY COUNTS AS ST.
