2 Principal s Corner GRACE LUTHERAN SCHOOL RECEIVES 2016 BEST OF HUNTSVILLE Have you heard the news? We are excited to receive such an honor. Grace School was rewarded with a 2016 Best of Huntsville Award in the places of Worship. Mrs. James has been working hard with the High School and Middle School students to organize, run, and lead our chapel services on Wednesday mornings. Complete with music videos on the big screens, guitar, singing, prayer, and liturgy. The students have been working hard to develop a worship service in the morning that resonates with them as the children seek to praise their Lord and Savior. If you have the time, please come out and worship with us as a family. Wednesday mornings starting at 8:10 in the sanctuary. What a way to start your day, being uplifted with a short chapel service to start your day off right! GERMAN FESTIVAL SUCCESS GERMAN FESTIVAL NEWS: Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of the volunteers from high school, teachers, parents, and congregational members who helped to make this year s German Festival such a success. Thank you to all those who donated items for the festival: the 2 liters, prizes, Apfel Kuchen cakes, cupcakes, hotdog buns, and the Little Debbie Snacks. Without such love and support we could not pull it off without you. Thank you to our special business community partners for making our German Festival a success. Kroger s for the special hoagie rolls; Ol Heidelberg for the amazing brats, spicy mustard and out of this world German potato salad; and Crowe family s rental company Americ Equipment Rental for providing all the wonderful bounce houses, carnival games, and especially the dunk tank. It is all of you who make this event so special. Thank you! THANKSGIVING MEAL SERVICE PROJECT Grace Youth will be collecting 100 cake mix boxes Oct. 23-Nov 1 Please see attached flyer for details
