F. Former members desiring another year of participation must try-out and are not guaranteed a return position, nor are they favored above new applicants. Former members should not expect an automatic returning opportunity just because of their hopeful repeat status. Each candidate will have an equal, unbiased opportunity to audition if all eligibility requirements are met. Article III: Grading System Section 1: Absences A. Absences from class impact the grade (due to missed participation points per PE policy) E. Absences and tardies from practices/outside of class functions such as football games impact an athlete s eligibility and count toward the overall tardy/absence count allowed for membership. F. All cheerleaders are required to attend all competitions, football and basketball games, and any other assigned function. Tardies and/or absences (for eligibility) will be recorded at each. Section 2: Tardies A. All members must be prepared and willing to participate at designated times. B. Members who are not present at the time designated for roll call will be marked tardy. C. Make-up opportunities are only given on request and are only to preserve a member s grade. This does not change the number of tardies or absences for eligibility/probationary purposes. F. Cheerleaders will also be given in-class and outside of class assignments which need to be completed and submitted on time. Late work will not be accepted. Article IV: Rules and Regulations Section 1: Probation A.
