2 Independent Environmental Organisations and Accreditation Agencies Kimberly-Clark Professional* has formed key partnerships with the world s leading environmental agencies and developed projects and implemented practises that are designed to benefit our essential world FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an association of environmental, economic and social groups, the timber trade, forestry profession, community forestry groups and other organisations from around the world. FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization who s founding mission was to provide a truly independent, international and credible labelling scheme for timber and timber products. Our products display FSC logos from 4 certified manufacturing facilities in different countries: C Australia, C USA, C Taiwan and C Europe. AUSTRALIA USA TAIWAN EUROPE WORLD WILDLIFE FUND As the world s largest tissue manufacturer, the Kimberly-Clark Corporation is a global participant in the Global Forest and Trade Network, which covers the company s entire wood fibre supply as well as additional support for on-ground conservation projects and research into alternative fibres. Together with FSC and WWF, Kimberly- Clark embarked on the Love Your Forests Campaign, which succeeded in lifting the profile of FSC certified products and increasing consumer awareness about its contribution to environmental sustainability in the market place. HACCP INTERNATIONAL MPI NEW ZEALAND HACCP International s Certification Mark is a Certificate of Conformance confirming our product s ability to support the integrity and safety of food as demanded by industry expectations, legislation and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) endorsed standards. Through a defined and consistent assessment process, HACCP International provides validation that a product is fit for purpose within food handling or processing applications. ISO OPERATING SYSTEMS Some of ISO s most well-known standards are management system standards. They provide a model to follow when setting up and operating a management system. Like all ISO standards, they are the result of international, expert consensus. Therefore, by implementing a management system standard, organizations can benefit from global management experience and good practice. ISO (Environment management) and ( Management)were awarded to KC-P Australian manufacturing and distribution facilities by an external certifying body. The Ministry for Primary Industries works right across the sector from primary producers through to retailers and consumers to ensure food safety standards for New Zealand. ENVIRONMENTAL CHOICE NEW ZEALAND Initiated and endorsed by the New Zealand Government, Environmental Choice operates to internationally recognised standards and principle and recognises the genuine moves made by manufacturers to reduce the environmental impacts of their products. It provides a credible and independent guide for consumers who want to purchase products that are better for the environment.
