2 Rescue solutions: Petzl s answer Petzl s roots are in caving. Fernand Petzl spent his life experimenting with new vertical progression techniques and inventing equipment that revolutionized caving. The company quickly applied these access tools and solutions to other vertical environments (sport and professional). Of course, there are rescue issues associated with these practices. Petzl has long been involved in self-rescue, rescue in hazardous environments, firefighting and mountain rescue. Our product development process remains true to a few simple core values: keeping close to and valuing our customers, taking innovative and practical approaches and demanding the highest quality. Harnesses The waistbelt and leg loops are compact and lightweight for excellent mobility. Textile lateral attachment points for occasional use It is in this spirit that we mobilize our resources to respond to the needs of professionals. Our goal: starting with an in-depth study of the practices, situations, and risks involved, to use Petzl s know-how to create smart, reliable solutions that truly facilitate and safeguard the work of rescuers. Today: EXO, FALCON. Some details... Rope clamps for progression The molded dual-density grips have an area for the index finger and a wide, supportive base to keep the hand from slipping. This shape ensures a comfortable and powerful grip, increasing efficiency when ascending a rope. The shape of the new cam on the CROLL and the PANTIN makes it easier for them to glide up the rope. EXO evacuation system Self-braking system allows the user to control and to stop the descent at any moment. It also allows rapid horizontal movement. In case of a fall, the device slides on the rope and limits the force transmitted to the user. Headlamps The new generation of power LEDs, combined with the performance of Lithium rechargeable batteries, provide powerful regulated lighting at a lower combined weight. ULTRA BELT and ULTRA headlamps project a wide, long-distance, perfectly uniform beam. P. Poulet 1
