3 Short Lift, Long Lower (SLLL) Kit (RK040A-015) The SLLL Kit is a lightweight, quick-deploying rescue kit for any loweroff rescue. The SLLL kit is the ideal kit for longer lowers as it uses the HaulerBiner Compact Rescue Kit independently, for mechanical advantage. This means that less rope is required over any given Height of Lift (HOL), compared with traditional pulley systems (effectively 2 x HOL). Suitable for heavy loads up to 250kg, R-ALF is perfect for a wide range of uses including 2 person assisted stretcher rescues, bariatric rescue, work suspension on structures for cleaning or inspections and confined space working. R-ALF is also a superb multi-function device for confined spaces as it can be used in the vertical for lifting/lowering as well as in the horizontal for dragging. This can be easily identified by the number of ropes within the pulley system (excluding the control rope). If for example there are 2 rope lengths + control rope, it is a 2:1 MA. If there are 3 rope lengths + control rope, it is a 3:1 MA and so on Theoretical MA is easily calculated. If the load to be moved is 90kg with a 2:1, the force applied to the control rope to lift the load would 90kg/2 = 45kg. If the MA is 3:1 the force needed to lift the 90kg load would be 90kg/3 = 30kg and so on In practice the actual MA value will be less than the theoretical value because of friction in the system. The HOL is a fixed length determined by the application (height of the structure or depth of the confined space). Typically, all our rescue kits are offered with a 15m HOL (although custom lengths can be ordered) and the MA then determines how much rope is contained in the system. For example; a 15m HOL at 3:1 MA will contain 4 lengths of 15m = 60m rope; a 15m HOL at 5:1 will contain 6 lengths of 15m = 90m rope and so on... ISC rope bags are simply coded to reflect the optimum capacity (in meters, of 11mm diameter) rope that each one can hold. Kit Bags We offer a range of practical and durable kit bags, to suit various kit types and rope lengths. ISC Bags are made from splash-proof material, have adjustable padded straps and are fitted with a drainage hole in the base. The bags have sufficient rigidity to allow the bag to be positioned in an upright and open position, for ease of use when roping up. Its key feature is the WLL of 350kg (based on a safety factor of 10:1), allowing it to be safely used for rescue purposes (two-person loads). 9 Arachnipod Modular Total Edge Management System The Arachnipod has an innovative design and multi-functional capabilities. Components can be added or removed, in order to build any of the eight possible configurations: Monopole, Handrail Recovery, Standard A-Frame, Transverse A-Frame, Lazy-Leg A-Frame, Tripod, Quadpod or Bridge System. The Arachnipod, in its basic form, is a Tripod. It consists of three basic telescoping legs, each pivotally connected to an Anodised Head. The Head is produced from Aluminium extrusion with cutouts down each side. These cutouts allow two or more heads to connect together with a Quick-link Pin (similar to a hinge), which allows quick and simple addition or removal of legs, or bridge beam, to create different configurations. Each head has a D shaped shackle for guying to stabilise the structure. The pulley leg has an inbuilt Pulley, which is mounted on two Stainless Steel Roller Bearings. The Pulley is Stainless Steel and has two grooves - one to take up to 13mm (1/2 ) rope and another to take up to 8mm (5/16 ) wire cable. Stainless detent pins prevent the rope or wire from coming out of the grooves. Lazy-leg A-Frame Configuration The Lazy-leg A-Frame is a standard A-Frame, with a third, hyper extended leg (Lazy Leg) attached. The addition of the Lazy Leg provides additional stability to the A-Frame and can act as a compression member. The Lazy Leg also allows users to tip the main A-Frame on an angle, leaning the head of A-Frame out over an edge. This function is ideal for keeping rigging clear of rough edges and allows greater edge clearance for rescue loads. Each leg is fitted with an eye-bolt, allowing additional pulleys and accessories to be attached as required. Bridge System The Bridge System offers a large footspan and working height, making it ideal for spanning large holes, trenches, vats, mines and lift shafts. Bridge beams are available in 2, 3 and 4m lengths and a fitted with a load rated, sliding trolley system, which is fitted with a retrieval rope system.
