2 Eligibility Rules and Requirements EVENTS Tot, PreAlpha, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Freestyle, Open Freestyle, Artistic, Couples, Footwork, Jump & Spin, Rhythmic Skating, Solo Compulsories, Spotlight, Stroking, Synchronized Skating, Synchronized Compulsories, Synchronized Formation, Production, Ensemble, Team Compulsories. (Refer to current ISI publications) Age groupings will be adjusted to suit the enrollment. RULES The competition will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the most recent edition of the ISI Handbook, and other current ISI publications. Take special note of most recent rules. For more information go to: VERIFICATION The team coach must sign the entry form to verify that the information contained on the form is true and correct. The information must be accurate and complete. Inaccurate or incomplete forms will be returned. ELIGIBILITY All skaters entering the competition must be current individual members and registered at their highest test level with ISI. Skaters may not enter an event at a higher or lower level than their last test passed and registered by the deadline date. Coaches may compete at this competition. If a Professional competes in an individual event, they will not be eligible to judge at this competition, but the Professional may compete in team events and still be eligible to act as a judge in other events. Members of USFS, who are individual members and registered with the ISI are eligible to compete in accordance with the ISI/ USFS Joint Statement of Policy. AWARDS Team events for Production, Kaleidoskate, Team Compulsories and Synchronized teams will receive 25 points for 1st Place; 20 points for 2nd Place; 15 points for 3rd Place; 10 points for 4th Place; and 5 points for 5th Place. In addition, each team entry in these events will receive 5 participation points. All other events will receive 5 points for 1st Place; 4 points for 2nd Place; 3 points for 3rd Place; 2 points for 4th Place; and 1 point for 5th Place. In addition, each competition event entry will receive 1 participation point. Individual awards will be given for each event. The team (club) accumulating the most overall team points will be declared the winner. Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. TENTATIVE TIME SCHEDULE A tentative time schedule is enclosed with this packet. Please post this schedule prominently at your rink, as it will help your skaters plan their weekend. The tentative schedule may change will enrollment. FEES Skaters should make their checks payable to their home team and the team coach should send one check payable to the FMC ICE SPORTS MARLBORO MUSIC AND REGISTRATION CDs are required. CD s are to be labeled with the skater's name, team name, event, and age group. CD s must be handed in at the Registration Desk one hour before event. CD s lead may be no longer than 12 seconds. No more than one program is to be on a CD. Please have a duplicate tape with you at the arena. Photographs and video tapes may be taken for personal use only. They may not be sold, rented or otherwise used for any commercial of profit making business unless authorized in writing by the Competition Director. sdesimone@fmcicesports.com

4 Navin Arena, Marlboro Bonus FUN Event Information This year FMC Marlboro is pleased to announce that we will be offering a special discounted entry fee for a Bonus FUN Event. Should skaters choose to participate in the FUN event there will be an additional $15.00 fee. Team Surprise has been chosen as this years FMC Marlboro Bonus FUN Event. Read below for the rules of this special offering. TEAM SURPRISE This is a new team version of Surprise events. Each team must have 4 skaters from the same category level (listed below). Each skater may only participate on one team. Skaters under 6 years are not permitted to compete in Team Surprise events. Teams can be made up of all males, all females, or any combination as long as the resulting test level category is the same for ALL TEAM MEMBERS. Category Levels: Low ALL team skaters must be in Pre Alpha to Delta levels only. Medium ALL team skaters must be in Freestyle 1 3 / Bronze levels & below. Intermediate ALL team skaters must be in Freestyle 4 5 / Silver levels & below. High ALL team skaters must be in Freestyle 6 10 / Gold / Platinum levels & below. Skaters may skate in a higher team category than their current test level but not in a lower team category. If entries are received with a team of skaters from different category levels, the team will be entered into the level of the highest skater. These team surprises will be a relay type event where every member of the team must complete a required task.
