INDEPENDENCf\.QAY JIG I By Herb Gaudreau (Original-idea of Dick Forschr) NOTE: Here's a novel and easy line dance that always creates fun. Better walk the dancers because of that ''jig thru square" that takes a full 16 counts and wi 11 surprise them. Instead of "lst,3rd,5th~etc. cross over" just lead heads to the right circle to a line, chain across and whirl.. to a half sashay-(from squared;.;.up positions), then close up the sets into long-lines~ Watch that last 11 pu ll-by 11 in the-square-thru part, because they will then star right working with the one they just pulled by, and the couple directly across the line from them. Girls must do a quick-left-face turn to get there. Single Progression - 1st, 3rd, 5th, etc., cross over (or see above) With the left hand lady swing" This call during intro. Round and round you go Once around on heel and toe One, two and a one two three One, two and a one two three *Cross at the head cross at the foot *Call every other time through.
