The Electric Slide- good for beginners, intermediate, and advanced Step to your right with your right foot Cross your left foot behind your right Step to your right with your right foot Step together and clap once Step to your left with your left foot Cross your right foot behind your left Step to your left with your left foot Step together and clap Step back with your right foot Step back with your left foot Step Back with your right foot and put your feet together and clap Rock forward on your right foot and touch your left toe to the ground Rock back on your left foot and touch your right toe to the ground Turn to your left (counterclockwise) Repeat.

YMCA- good for beginners and intermediate Take your right hand and point (to the beat) starting from your left and ending at your right (point 7 times) Switch and point with your left hand starting from your right and ending at your left (point 7 times) Do this 3 times. (right hand, left hand, right hand) Punch the air 6 times with the beat (right, left, right, left, right, left) Go back to pointing for 3 times (right, left, right) Punch the air 6 times with the beat (r,l,r,l,r,l) Punch the air with your right fist 5 times When the Music says YMCA your make YMCA with your arms For Y- Extend both arms into the air into a V-shape For M- Arch both arms where the point looks like an M For C- Curve your right arm above your head and your left arm at your waist forming a C For A- make an upsidedown V with your arms (house roof) steps with the music 3. The Hokey Pokey- good for beginners Listen to the music for instructions (right arm in, left arm in, etc..)

3 4. The Cha Cha Slide- Advanced The Music will say the different moves, but explain them first. To the right/ left do the same first two steps as the electric slide (r, cross, r) Take it back- the same as the electric slide (r,l,r,l) 1-5 hops hop forward as many times as it calls for r/l stomps stomp your right or left foot cha cha rock back and forth, move your hands like you are dancing the cha cha turn it out turn all the way around so you are facing the same way as before slide to the left/right step out with either your right or left foot, then slide the other foot criss-cross-on criss -jump so your left foot is infront of your right, on cross - jump back out so both feet are side by side hands on your knees but both hands on your knees and bounce with the music freeze freeze in a particular move clap your hands clap your hands with the beat go down low act like you are doing the limbo in place and see how far you can bend down bring it to the top- come up slowly from go down low reverse jump and turn around facing the back (one motion) then jump back facing the original direction Charlie brown put your right foot in front of your left foot and rock back and forth. 5. The Bunny Hop- Beginners (get everyone in a circle) Put your right heel out and snap down Left heel out, snap down 6 times (right, left, right, left, right, left) Hop forward 3 times until music is finished For this it is great if you have a pair of bunny ears.

The Limbo- All Levels This Works best if everyone is in a circle and the limbo stick is in one place in the circle so the circle is always moving Make sure they go underneath by bending backwards, not forwards, only their feet are allowed to touch the floor. 7. Cotton Eye Joe- Exceptional Intermediate and Advanced Put your right heel out in front Put your right toe across your left foot Put your right heel out in front Step together Put your left heel out in front Put your left toe across your right foot Put your left heel out in front Step together Put your right heel, then left, then right, out in front Step together Touch the instep of your right foot, then the outer part, then the instep Step together Turn counterclockwise (left) 8. The Chicken Dance- Beginners Put everyone in a circle Put both hands out and form beaks and open and close the mouths four times Make wings and flap them four times Shake your tail feathers 4 times Clap four times

5 9. Macarena- Intermediate and Advanced Put your right arm out where your palm is down Put your left arm out the same way but keep your right arm out too. Flip your right arm up so the palm faces up Flip your left arm the same way with your right arm remaining the same. With your left arm the same, put your right hand on the top of your left elbow With the left arm remaining, put your left hand on your right elbow With your left hand still on your right elbow, put your right hand on the right side of your head Put your left hand on the left side of your head. Keep your left hand the same and put your right hand on your left hip. Put your left hand on your right hip With the left the same, put your right hand on your right hip Put your left hand on your left hip Bend your knees and go down to the floor. Turn to your left (counterclockwise)

Potta-Potta- all levels (circle) Jump so that you are facing your left and your right foot in inside the circle Jump back together and clap Jump to the right so your left foot is inside the circle Jump together and clap Simultaneously move your hands and your knees out and in, out, in, out, in Lift your right knee so it is facing the left Put it down Lift your right knee so it is facing the left Put down Lift your left knee so it is facing the right Put down Spin to the left (clockwise) so you are in your neighbor s position

7 11. Sally Down the Alley- All Levels Put all the girls in one line and all the boys in another facing each other. In between the lines there should be one girl in the middle and one boy on either side of her She will have a ball cap, fan, hankerchief, ect and she will wave it from side to side with the music. She will give it to one boy and the boy who doesn t have the object will dance with her down the center of the lines. The boy who has the object will have one girl on either side of him and do the same as the first group Alternate boys and girls.

The Hand Jive- All Levels This is done sitting down in a circle Pat your lap with both hands twice Clap twice Put your left hand above your right and move twice Put your right above left and movie twice Make a fist and hit your right fits above your left. Switch hands and hit your left above right Hit your left elbow with your right fist Hit your right elbow with your left elbow Act like you are swimming forward Backstroke Breaststroke and stomp twice make a thumbs up with your right hand and shake it while going over your right shoulder (hitchhike) do the same but with your left thumb and left shoulder Take your right pointer finger and wave it around in a circle (say whoopee while doing this) With same finger point in the air and say, yeehaw. Grab an imaginary fly in the air Put it in your hand and smash it blow it in your friend s face (friend to the left) On the last time : Grab the fly, smash, blow, then grab the fly smash and pretend to lick your hand. 13. Cupid Shuffle- All levels Step to the right, to the right, to the right, to the right Step to the left, to the left, to the left, to the left. Kick out with your right heel Kick out with your left heel Kick out with your right heel Kick out with your left heel. And Walk it out. (Rotate on the pads of your feet back and forth until you are facing your left; counterclockwise).
