1 EXPEDITIONS FACT SHEET Nomads of the Seas expeditions have been specifically designed for the area s exploration and offer guests truly unique experiences, not to be found anywhere else in the world. Nomads of the Seas carries two programs: Ultimate Fly Fishing and the Wildlife Adventures Ecotourism Program. I Ultimate Fly-Fishing Concept Nomads of the Seas has created Ultimate Fly-Fishing, a new concept that essentially means total access to any fly fishing destination within Atmosphere s wide navigation area, despite any difficulties that arise. The complete aero-maritime system grants flexibility which allows us to successfully overcome all varying conditions associated to water levels, meteorology and fish behavior of each possible destination. With all this to consider, the very trip to the different sites becomes an adventure in and of itself. In Ultimate Fly-Fishing, the angler becomes part of a scouting team, which adds a whole new dimension to each expedition. There is no such thing as being bound to a specific location; groups are free to explore privileged sites, including some that have rarely, if ever, seen a fishing line. Due to these conditions, trophy catches are not hard to find at Nomads.

2 Fishing Species Fishing areas defined by Nomads of the Seas are distinguished by a rich population of salmonid species of varying sizes: rainbow and brown trout, resident, anadromous and coastal; resident brook trout, as well as silver (Coho), king (Chinook) and, on occasion, Atlantic salmon. Fishing Sites The equipment and transport means carried aboard the Atmosphere allow for various flyfishing disciplines during the same trip. Possible water alternatives include rivers of varying flow, marshes and creeks, which reach fjords and channels through estuaries and mouths. There are also lakes and lagoons surrounded by exquisite vegetation, as well as astonishing inter-tidal zones.

3 Daily Schedule Ultimate Fly-Fishing programs are organized into daily outings, which include one guide for every two fishermen. Guides have been thoroughly trained to spot even the hardest to find fish, and also help anglers use the most suitable casting and presentation techniques. Throughout their trip, guests will enjoy various fly-fishing styles: Heli Drifts / Jet Skiffs: Anglers are flown in to specific locations, particularly beautiful and difficult to reach. McKenzie drift boats and jet skiffs, previously placed, await passengers who will enjoy an excellent fishing day before the helicopter returns to fly them back to Atmosphere. Heli Zodiac / Catarafts: Anglers, alongside portable zodiac boats, are flown out to the fishing site. After a full day of fly-fishing, the helicopter picks everybody up and flies back to the Atmosphere. Jet boats: Anglers reach their fishing destinations by way of beautiful, unexplored rivers, which they navigate in jet boats especially designed for this activity.

4 II Wildlife Adventures Program This program presents stimulating outdoor activities with a unique scientific focus. Environmental experts guide the whale and bird watching excursions sharing a lot of information and facts about the different species. These expeditions can also be combined with nature photography. Nomads of he Seas Wildlife Adventures program includes an array of outdoor activities created for explorers interested in actively admiring the natural beauty of Chilean Patagonia, as seen from a fresh angle. The invitation is to experience the scenery with a unique perspective: the thrill of jet-boating or rafting, the charm of kayaking and trekking, or the unending joy of horseback riding through Patagonia. Whale watching Due to the richness and diversity of cetacean species that live in Chilean Patagonia -50% of the species found in the world- and that particularly inhabit the area explored by Atmosphere, we have created a complete observation set of activities based on solid scientific grounds. This program includes amply trained guides and is committed to maintaining strict sustainability guidelines. We have also added technology and comfort, elements up to now unknown to the international whale-watching circuit.

5 Watching Excursions Whale-watching excursions last a full day or half-day and are held aboard the Zodiac Hurricane 920 R.I.B. This watercraft has a 16-passenger, 3-crew member capacity and can be safely used in a variety of marine conditions and settings. Furthermore, the Atmosphere also offers an observation platform located on the fifth deck with a wide visibility range. Commonly Seen Species Throughout Atmosphere s navigation route there is a rich population of small endemic cetaceans such as Peale s dolphins, Commerson s dolphins, Dusky dolphins and Chilean or Black dolphins, together with a variety of considerably larger whale species: beaked whales, rorquals, sperm whales, orcas - killer whales - and the always awe inspiring blue whale, which in this region has a smaller fluke than its Northern hemisphere peers. Scientific Approach All approaching and operation techniques comply with the strict observation standards suggested and required by such institutions as the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society and the International Fund for Animal Welfare, among others. Furthermore, our guides will gather and record data which will contribute to scientific research purposes. One of these investigations that Nomads of the Seas is collaborating with, is the first regional catalogue of recorded cetacean voices. Guests are welcome to help us record the song of these gigantic creatures.

6 Bird-Watching Chile is home to approximately 450 species of birds, many of them endemic. Contrary to what happens in tropical areas, where the abundance and diversity of birds make them popular bird watching destinations even if sightings are difficult, Nomads of the Seas offers a geographic setting that makes identification, observation and graphic recording of the varied birdlife an easy and user friendly activity. This program considers two key elements that guarantee the success of our birdwatching outings: a sophisticated aero-maritime transportation system that allows access to difficult, untouched, locations and the guidance of thoroughly trained professionals who are familiar with the region and its bird species. Commonly Seen Species The whole trip affords frequent and easy sightings of unique and interesting seabirds: albatrosses, petrels, fulmars, seagulls, pelicans, kelp geese, and cormorants, among many others, plus two species of penguins: Humboldt and Magellan. In estuary and river areas, wading birds such as herons, ibises, black-crowned night herons, as well as a number of cinclodes, are a common sight. Also in the vicinity of rivers, as well as in lake areas and near wetlands, some of the species that make themselves seen include whistling ducks, dabbling ducks, diving ducks, false geese, a couple of swan species and the spectacular Chilean kingfisher. Deeper inside the dense and humid southern jungle, some of the species that come into sight are woodpeckers, hummingbirds, parrots and the Chilean pigeon. These species live alongside a series of furnarids, a couple of rhinocryptidae, the black-throated huethuet and the loud-singing Chucao.

7 Species of finches, Icteriidae and Emperizidae complete this forest bird symphony. Among the latter, one of the most amazing species is the delicate-looking Patagonian sierra finch, dressed in its eye-catching orange and yellow tailcoat. The region is also home to a group of small and large prey birds belonging to the falcon and owl families. Especially noteworthy are the great horned owl and the condor, which mostly inhabits highlands. Nature Photography Nomads of the Seas fosters an interesting and varied photography program, using digital and traditional film format. Outings are guided by an environmental analyst with a solid background in digital and analogous photography, as well as photographic composition. These excursions may involve the use of watercrafts or inland trekking. Some of the landscapes waiting to be immortalized are eternal snows and glaciers, some of the Andes most amazing mountains; volcanoes, bays, channels and fjords; the coastal strip and its impressive tidal variation, as well as the exuberant Magellanic sub polar forests. You will also have the chance to photograph enormous cetaceans and other sea mammals such as sea lions, and two otter species. Patrimonial photography is yet another interesting venue to explore. Objects to focus on include inhabited fishermen villages and archaeological sites holding vestiges of an extinct culture: the Chonos, true nomads of the seas, who once dwelled canoeing upon these waters. Macro-photography can also be a very interesting option. Targets range from endemic land invertebrates to flowers - this area harbors some very rare species of orchids-, to those spectacular details of the sub polar forest that often go unnoticed.

8 Soft outdoors adventures Nomads of the Seas has designed an array of activities for explorers interested in getting in touch with the natural beauty of Patagonia in a more active way. 9 Kayaking Patagonian rivers, fjords and the coastline provide natural navigation routes for our kayaking activities. True kayakers know that this sport offers unique contact with the landscape. While the paddle softly submerges in the flowing current, barely touching the leaves that hang from the trees lining the banks, kayakers get to fully admire the flora and fauna at short range. During your trip with Nomads, kayaking will be available in three different formats: gently paddling down soft current rivers, navigating through different levels of white waters, or cruising the maritime coastline admiring the incredible oceanic wildlife. Trekking If our guests want to take in every inch of this amazing ecosystem, Nomads of the Seas will transport them by jet-boat or helicopter to remote mountain locations, where our experienced guides have selected various day routes. Trekkers will serpent their way through the astonishing rainy forest and its plethora of endemic flowers, centennial trees, leafy bushes and the endless species of ferns, fungi, algae and lichens. Some of the sites where we make landfall offer the possibility of enjoying the steam and high temperatures of rustic hot springs, or the impressive background with its majestic glaciers and volcanoes.
