1 August 26, 2009 Tideline Aquatics Store Hours Monday Friday 11am-7pm Saturday 10am-6pm Sunday 1pm-5pm LIVESTOCK TRADE-INS RETURN SEPT 1 ST WITH NEW RULES IN PLACE!! FISH THAT ARE FADED OR IMPERFECT WILL RECEIVE NO STORE CREDIT IF TRADED IN We are taking a gamble that the economic climate for the pet industry will begin to improve beginning in September. Cooler weather, kids back in school, vacations are over these are all what we are basing our theory on (crossing our fingers!). With the hopeful improvement in business, we will begin accepting livestock tradeins again but with new conditions and requirements. Remember that when someone brings in items to trade to us for store credit then we become your customer. Please understand that this means we would not purchase anything that you wouldn t purchase. Please read our new rules for livestock trade-ins beginning on September 1 st, ALL livestock trade-ins must be preapproved before you bring them to the store. We ask that you simply call the store and ask if we are able to accept the particular item(s) you are wanting to trade-in. ALL livestock trade-ins that are brought to the store without prior approval from Tideline Aquatics will only be accepted as a donation or you have the option of taking them back home for a possible future tradein. 2. Livestock trade-in values are based on approximately half of what we decide to sell the livestock for at the time of the trade. If you are bringing in large numbers (for example: 25 guppies or 24 mollies or 30 convict cichlids, live rock, etc) of livestock to trade, the value will be based on approximately one third of what we decide to sell the livestock items for. All transactions will be for store credit only. We will no longer pay cash for any livestock tradeins whatsoever. 3. No store credit will be issued for livestock items we redeem to be in poor condition, faded in color, imperfections (hole in the head, fin erosion, etc). 4. No store credit will be issued on live coral trade-ins that are brown in color or colorless, coral frags that have not been grown-in to their bases, corals with problem algae attached, live rock that is bleached without color, live rock
2 that has problem algae attached, corals that are imperfect or species we do not stock due to aggression, poor survivability or invasiveness. 5. We will no longer be issuing store credit for live aquatic plants. We will accept them as donations only. 6. If you are issued a store credit, you will receive an invoice with the credit amount listed on the sheet. YOU MUST RETAIN THE INVOICE TO REDEEM THE STORE CREDIT. Please understand that we have dozens of invoice books with store credits. We are unable to look through books in search of a particular credit slip as we have in the past. We have even had instances of people using up a store credit that did not bring their slip only to come back months later with their copy demanding we honor the credit slip. It is the customer s responsibility to keep their store credit invoice copy and to bring it to the store for redemption. There will be no exceptions to this new policy. cooperation with our new livestock trade-in policy. Chris Deer, Tideline Aquatics LIVE CORALS THAT ARE DULL IN COLOR WILL BE ACCEPTED AS DONATIONS ONLY AS THEY ARE DIFFICULT TO SELL REGARDLESS OF HEALTHINESS. YOU HAVE ONLY 7 DAYS LEFT TO ENTER YOUR NAME FOR THE AUGUST AQUARIUM GIVE-A-WAY!! IMPERFECTIONS LIKE HOLE IN THE HEAD DISEASE SCARS WILL NOT RECEIVE STORE CREDIT. Please understand that we offer a livestock tradein policy as a service to our customers. We must be able to sell the item we offer you credit for at a profit in order to stay in business. We also must protect ourselves from stocking too many of one particular item. This is why all items now must be pre-approved before they are brought to the store. We will then evaluate the condition of the livestock item(s) and decide whether it is a healthy specimen(s) that we feel comfortable selling to another customer. Thank you for your Through the entire month of August every time you visit Tideline Aquatics you can sign up for a chance to win a 29 Gallon Biocube Aquarium and Cabinet Stand. There is no purchase required to enter our give-a-way all you have to do is visit the store and sign up! We will draw a winner from the bucket on September 1 st. The more you visit the store, the greater the chance for you to win the aquarium so come on by and sign up this month for our August Aquarium Give-a-Way.
