2 2015 Drum Challenge Rules 1. The fishing area for the Event shall be the Pamlico Sound and the Neuse River 2. Valid NC fishing licenses shall be possessed by all Event anglers 3. All fishing regulations mandated by NC Marine Fisheries shall be followed by all participants 4. Boat captains shall be a member of at least one of the sponsoring clubs 5. Caught Drum shall be handled as follows: a. With wet hands or wet gloves b. Lifted horizontally by supporting the head and behind the stomach c. Placed on a wet towel if hook removal involves placement on a boat deck d. Put back in the water as quickly as possible e. Supported by the tail in the water until it is able to swim by itself f. Deeply hook fish shall be returned to the water without removal of the hook 6. VHF Channel 68 shall be monitored for event updates by the Event Contacts defined below. 7. Whittaker Point Marina will provide free dockage for participating boats the night before the event 8. If the event is cancelled (the primary and rain dates): a. A decision will made by the committee as to whether the event will be rescheduled b. All registered participants will be given the option of having the entry fee returned or the registration transferred to any rescheduled dates 9. Each participant must agree to the 2015 Charity Drum Tournament Liability Release and deliver a signed document to the corresponding club coordinator prior to the start of the Event 10. Each Participant must agree to the 2015 Whittaker Point Marina Regulations and deliver a signed document to the corresponding club coordinator prior to the start of the Event 11. Ties shall be resolved by the earliest time when the first qualifying fish was caught. A coin toss shall resolve any ties in the first-caught-time 12. Event contacts: a. 3 2015 Whittaker Point Marina Regulations 1. Contact the marina, , to reserve dock space 2. Dockage will be free to participating boats 3. Clubhouse restrooms are available to participants 4. No dumping of unused bait, chum or trash in the dock area 5. All garbage and recycling materials must be placed inside the receptacles provided 6. Clubhouse usage shall end by 5 PM on the date of the event 7. All clubhouse facilities must be left in the same state that existed before the event (print name) (Signature) Date Page 3 of 5
