2 WHAT WE DO. River City Christian welcomes over 3,500 people from Sacramento, El Dorado, and Placer Counties to our campus each week. Because of this, we truly believe in giving back to all areas of the River City! We commit to helping at-risk and needy families in our community by hosting our annual Christmas Mall which allows approximately 1,000 seriously-in-need individuals to have an incredible holiday mall experience. 100% of the proceeds from our golf tournament stay local and are used to meet the physical needs of families participating in our Christmas Mall outreach program. CHRISTMAS MALL AT A GLANCE Families are bussed to our campus from designated areas in our community. Every family member receives a shopping voucher for use at our six different stores allowing them to select gifts, valued at approximately $50. All items in the stores are new and have been donated by individuals and businesses. Volunteers wrap gifts while the guests participate in other mall activities. A full service salon is offered. Shampoos, haircuts, hairstyling, manicures and chair massages are available from trained volunteers. Children participate in a variety of fun activities including pictures with Santa. 4 HOW YOU HELP. The Christmas Mall is no small event. While we have a dedicated team who spend the entire year planning the logistics of things, the Christmas Mall just wouldn't be the same without sponsors like you! With your partnership, we are able to serve local elementary school students, former foster children, veterans, homeless women and children and legal refugee families. Together we are able to bring hope and encouragement to our community during the Christmas season. Children have the joy of meeting Santa Clause while families have an opportunity to take a holiday photo together. For many, this is the only family photo they will take this year. Guest feel pampered as they receive haircuts and washes in our full service salon. Self confidence is renewed as guests watch themselves being cared for in the salon mirrors. Families are treated to delicious desserts, hors d oeuvres and hot beverages while enjoying live entertainment. We want guests to feel special and valuable at the Christmas Mall.

5 TOGETHER WE ABLE TO SERVE THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES: FOLSOM CORDOVA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FCUSD is made up of 32 schools serving thousands of students to whom poverty and socio-economic challenges are ever present. LAVERNE ADOLFO PROGRAM Run by Volunteers of America, the Laverne Adolfo program in Rancho Cordova provides housing for former foster children who don t have a secure place to live. Education, employment and mental health services are also provided. WELLSPRING WOMEN S CENTER Wellspring Women s Center in the Oak Park community serves nearly 200 women and children each weekday and offers four different programs: Nutritious Meal Program, Children s Corner Program, Safety Net Support Program, and Women s Wellness. WORLD RELIEF World Relief Sacramento's refugee resettlement program helps newly-arrived legal refugees learn English, grasp American culture, find employment and access essential services. VETERANS VILLAGE AT MATHER In collaboration with Mercy Housing California, Veterans Village provides permanent housing and services for our veterans and their families. Services include behavioral health services, alcohol and drug counseling, life coaching, cooking classes, employment services and more.
