2 GOLF AT LONGBOAT KEY CLUB LINKS ON LONGBOAT Redesigned by Ron Garl in 2014, the 18-hole, par 71 Links on Longboat course stretches out to 6,748 yards from end to end with five sets of tees to accommodate any level of play. This Course originally dubbed the watery challenge truly lives up to that description. The abundance of water and narrow fairways combine requiring accurate tee shots. Along with these beautiful water views, over 5,000 native palm trees and pink and white oleanders line the course creating a truly incredible golf experience. HARBOURSIDE GOLF COURSES Consisting of three 9-hole courses, allowing for 3 distinctive 18-hole options options, the Harbourside courses pose a great challenge when deciding which to play. Harbourside, opened in 1982, was originally designed by William Byrd. The Red Hawk, offering many risk reward challenges, measures 3,323 yards and was redesigned by Ron Garl in The White Egret, measuring 3,426 yards has the least amount of water yet offers tight fairways and large, inviting greens. Our famous Blue Heron Signature course offers breathtaking views at every turn. Redesigned by Ron Garl in 2005, the Blue Heron borders Sarasota Bay and offers up 3,411 yards which challenge every part of your game. All courses at Longboat Key Club recently received new playing surfaces of superior, salt tolerant, Platinum Paspalum grass, providing consistently lush fairways and smooth, fast greens. Both courses have a full-service golf shop with knowledgeable staff who offer lessons and clinics. The shops are also fully-stocked with the latest in golf equipment and apparel. 3 THE TENNIS GARDENS AT LONGBOAT KEY CLUB The award winning Tennis Gardens features 20 Har-Tru courts, including an exhibition worthy center-court and a state-of-the-art HydroGrid irrigation system that keeps the playing surface in excellent condition at all times. The Tennis Gardens includes Court 21 Café & Bar, a player s patio, locker rooms, tennis concierge, activity room and a large pro shop, fully stocked with the latest in tennis fashions. Lessons, clinics and a knowledgeable tennis concierge complete the superior range of offerings. The Tennis Garden is home to the Sarasota Open USTA Pro Circuit Men s Tournament and hosts celebrity matches, tennis social events, wine tastings, round robin tournaments and tennis camps.
