Complementing the Championship Course are world-class facilities including a teaching academy, a floodlit par-3 ninehole course, Academy retail shop, floodlit driving range and restaurant. 4 GOLFING EVENTS A diary of golf competitions including monthly medals, complimentary member swing clinics, and equipment trials, other special gatherings will be announced throughout the year. We have a fun-filled calendar of events at Al Mouj Golf for golfers and non-golfers. These events are the perfect opportunities to meet other members and enjoy the social aspect of the sport and your local golf course. MEMBERSHIP We have a variety of membership packages each coming with their own privileged benefits for either the Championship and/or the Academy Course ranging from 344 OMR + for the year. In addition, as a member of Al Mouj Golf, you can benefit from a 20% discount in restaurants and a 10% discount in the Pro-Shop. The Restaurant and Lounge offers all day dining in a relaxed atmosphere with simple Mediterranean and International style cuisine with daily and weekly specials. The Restaurant also offers a delicious selection of Forte Tea s, freshly brewed coffee, fresh juices and a beverage service. 6 INSPIRED BY OMAN. DESIGNED BY GREG NORMAN As a touring professional, Greg Norman is one of the most prolific and much loved players in the games history. He was the number one ranked player for an incredible 331 consecutive weeks, won 91 professional trophies including 20 US PGA Tour events and two British Open titles (1986 and 1993). Norman s experience of playing the world s great golf courses over his 25-year career served as the catalyst to develop his own golf courses. First established in 1987, Greg Norman Golf Course Design has completed more than 70 golf courses on six continents. Norman s golf courses have garnered numerous prestigious awards for design, with many of the projects being awarded the coveted Audubon Society Award for environmental stewardship. His name is linked with some of the world s best courses such as Australia s Ellerston, America s Tiburon at the Ritz- Carlton, Bali s Nirwana and China s Mission Hills to name a few. Al Mouj Golf is the latest addition to his portfolio. Norman believes that Oman s first PGA standard course is one of the best that he has been involved with anywhere in the world and anticipates that over the coming years Al Mouj Golf will gain global recognition. I believe that the true test of a golf course is that you should be able to remember every hole.
